If there is not enough twink players to keep a sufficient queue than that suggest there are far more people who are non twinks, probably people just leveling that are significantly out geared and outmatched.
If that is indeed the case, one might suggest that twinking often in most cases lacks in serious challenge and thus exists to essentially grief the vast majority of players in a given BG. I question as to what feeling of accomplishment a twink players gets out of playing in such an environment?
Oh here we go again. How many actual “new” players do you think wow is getting? If anything, BfA has a bad reputation but all of a sudden these new players are going to purchase wow and step right into a battleground. And you know what, we all were new and got our butts handed to us. There’s a video posted just tonight at max level of a fire mage globaling someone, they can’t even get max level right. Also, BGs are just as one sided as always. Difference is you might die a couple times less I suppose.
I saw it, the famous paladin who has abused many bugs to one shot bosses/be immortal to gain his fame. He also had to have no gear on and have rez sickness to be one shotted.
“One might suggest” that twinking is for people who want to stay in a particular bracket instead of doing level 120 PvE Mythic Raiding to gear up for PvP.
Your entire post is how you want to view twinks and look down on them, not what they actually are.
At least you would be challenged though, unlike say beating up on under geared and under leveled players who I would assume make up the vast majority of any given BG. Again my question was never answered, what feeling of accomplishment would be gained from this?
The tears of whiny twinks sustain me. You want to play in an unsportman like way and feel like you’re bomb? You can sit in long ques and tell yourself you’re pretty.
Oops. I didn’t mean to withdraw my original response. To answer your question, Luuni:
I raid on my main and one of my alts, and also do Mythic+. When I’m not raiding or doing dungeons (or emissaries), I’m usually mount and/or transmog farming. Twinking is something I do, in other words, on top of a bunch of other activities. I used to make and level alts, but I’m sitting at 36 characters on my account and play only a handful of them. So, twinking became another thing to do, when all the other things were done.
I haven’t PvP’ed at max level in awhile, though, mostly because the PvP gear treadmill has gotten worse. And, as weird as this may seem coming from a twink, I don’t really like how gear dependent PvP is in general in MMORPGs; I usually head to Overwatch or a MOBA when I get the PvP itch. Since the change back to separated queues, I’ve been leveling up one of my rogues with the intention of doing some PvP once I get to 120 (just a few more levels), but… meh. We’ll see.
Unsportsmanlike? because football players show up to the game in wet-suits instead of pads, and after losing badly they blame the team in proper gear that took the game seriously. lol that is amazing!! I take it you weren’t/aren’t really in to any type of sport or competitive activity. Probably because losing triggers you, right?
Actually, it’d be more like one team shows up in proper sports equipment, where the other team shows up in Mark VI Power Armor.
Also, you sound rather insecure and mad, no need to get worked up lass. Never said gearing was inherently unfair, just that over-gearing seems to take away some of the essence of fun.
“Twinking is the only thing keeping low level bgs alive”.
Is this a joke? Lol. Queues might be a few minutes longer, but honestly I’ll gladly take the extra wait to have twink-less games. Between this and the revamp to arathi and warsong, the matches I’ve had yesterday and today on my leveling zandalari have been some of the best pvp battlegrounds I’ve ever had!
quest gear at 119 upgrades to over ilvl 300, but my ilvl 300 119 twinks got caught up in this gear in gear slots unfair movement. Ive wasted time and money on something I cant even enjoy because my toons are “unfair”. its a weak argument because power armor is above and beyond whats allowed in a football game, but timewalking gear is available at 119 i just cant use it because you say I cant. I dont care if i sound mad yall must have forgot how pathetic yall have sounded the last few months. Crying in unison and throwing an “i absolutely refuse to gear and be competitive hissy fit” spare me
You must have incredible cosmic powers to have tracked all my comments on…this random subject that doesn’t affect me given that I don’t really gear for anything, ever, given that I don’t do anything competitive.
For someone leveling up, in normal play, they would reach 120 before they could acquire all the necessary gear to be on the same level. Twinks are stopping themselves from progressing in XP meaning they can do all the content available to them that would fill all their slots with the highest gear possible without going over.
oh youre the person who said at 101-108 you couldnt have the same gear as a 109 twink. Shouldnt so gladly spew your ignorance publicly. All and I mean ALL the best gear for a 109 twink is 101 warforged or titanforged boe epics. So glad you are here to spread more disinformation
I just play xp on throwaway twinks now and stay in the leveler queue. Stomping levelers even more now and I can easily keep making and deleting characters whenever I want. Separating queues won’t save you people determined to put no effort into low level pvp and want a free ride.
