Just because one issue is resolved doesn’t mean any of the other issues go away, Joe. All I’m advocating here is that Average gear should be in the very least completely viable for a bracket to PvP in in regards to leveling brackets. Right now as it stands, those that twink their characters with strong enchants and gear for slots hard/impossible to obtain for a bracket for the average leveler have a very strong advantage to the point that you cannot kill them no matter how much you outplay them. I should, in average leveling gear be able to kill them; it shouldn’t be an essential impossibility.
The “average leveler” should realize they have some catching up to do and get a sense of how this game functions. What you are advocating for is the epitome of the “Participation Trophy” mentality.
There is no possible ‘catching up’ that a leveler can do, I’ve already proven this time and time again; and what you’re doing is essentially not having read my posts. You, and the person liking your posts clearly don’t know what they’re talking about in regards to leveling gear.
Dunno, I rarely see people in BGs without full heirloom gear. If you could actually show something other than a wall of text proving that the majority of “levelers” are running around in white/green gear and not heirlooms I’d be interested.
As I’ve stated quite a few times before, and continue to have to explain since people want to hit reply without reading my posts, heirlooms like chest, legs, cloak, and weapon are pretty common. The problem comes in when those are enchanted, or slots that are hard/impossible to obtain for the bracket are gained like helm/shoulders/neck/trinkets for 10-19 particularly and 20-29 at times.
Even if someone was in full heirloom, as I would expect most levelers to be, they wouldn’t begin to compare to a fully decked out twink. But that’s the point, being better than a regular guy. If all it took was heirlooms to be at the top of a bracket then there would be no need to bother equipping a twink.
The average leveler cannot, many don’t use enchants on their heirlooms let alone the other pieces of gear which is quite common among twinks. As I’ve already stated quite a few times, this is the average leveling gear and low level PvP should be adjusted in regards to that so the average leveler actually has a chance vs twinks.
If people cant afford a simple enchant. then that’s on them its literaly a 1 time thing then you can send it to any toon you want. You want to hold your team back? fine with me not going to help if your in trouble
The goalposts have been moved. Enchanted heirlooms are now the “twinks” that are in these peoples crosshairs. There is a growing sentiment to remove enchanted heirloom toons to their own que now. See where this is going??
Why would you even enchant a piece of leveling gear you’re going to use for 5-6 levels, let alone gems. Truthfully, the twinks should have been left alone in their own little world so they don’t spill out and infect the rest of the playerbase.
Also level 85 with a lower ilvl than yourself, and you have enchants strong for the level which as I’ve already indicated before is a lot more closer to a ‘BiS’ twink in which that person honestly is not given mid-bracket. Both are twinks. You even have BoA weapons that as far as I know cannot even be obtained anymore.
I had double crusader ( which does nothing @ 89 ), because I’m sure you know those axes currently equipped have a 90+ level requirement.
Edit: Nope, you sure didn’t know. Yes, my toon is currently 90, yes that screenshot was taken before I could equip the weapons he’s currently using. Yes, I was using double heirloom axes with crusader ( which stops working well before 85 ). And therein lies the problem, ignorance runs rampant.
You can level while within a BG, so yes ignorance does run rampant; since you have no evidence of your level during the BG itself. Since you’ve now equipped ‘different’ gear, linking your armory does nothing since you say you now have different gear and therefore there is no evidence of what you were wearing at the time. Making it a pretty moot point to link either armory honestly.
