Twinks are now just leaving BGs early

The gear hasn’t changed outside of the weapons ( which I really need to re-enchant… ), but I’m sure you’re going to deflect that with your tinfoil hat.

There’s not really a point to link something as evidence when it doesn’t prove anything, which is what I already pointed out.

I mean enchant looms.

My apologies, I’m actually attempting to provide some slice of ‘proof’ since it doesn’t seem to be a thing around here. Though, I’m pretty sure if I screenshotted my character screen in the middle of the game I would have had a response along the lines of ‘well you could have changed your gear in the middle of the game to take this’ or something stupid like that. So on that note, it really does seem like an impossible feat to try and have a logical debate with certain posters so it’s my time to depart.

Having a slice of ‘proof’ that’s easily disproven isn’t particularly proof. It doesn’t really add anything to your argument if it’s debateable. I proved that your gear has changed since then which means evidence would be on my side, not yours.

sounds like the levelers want legion pvp back. the only items you can use in Battlegrounds are pvp pots. Item enhancements wont work in an instanced pvp setting. everyone has the same stats.

I didnt mind legion battlegrounds tbh. Waiting for the reversion of the separation and reintegration of the Balance system used in Legion. only a matter of time.

Legion PvP scaling was effective, but boring. IMO at least…gear tinkering is a fun part of an MMO. I’d like to see a version of PvP scaling that allowed tinkering within boundaries or something maybe

It had it’s own quirks and problems including twinks using white items with high ilvls, and that some classes got better stats from the templates than others and certain classes scaled better/worse with it. Though my main complaint with it came with it still being a thing at max level.

benefited more form tactics and team work rather than gear.

Some enchants did work…

Yeah, but it removed a key aspect of MMOs from the picture, one that I just enjoyed. I hit reply too quick on that and added a bit more to it to elaborate more on what I meant

5 or 6 levels, that’s maybe 8 to 12 battlegrounds, or maybe around 6 to 10 hours of played time. For some people, that might be over the course of a week.

What’s a thousand gold here or there to slow down and really enjoy the content you’re in, rather than having the sole goal of blowing past it?

Especially considering many players have gold well in excess of 1,000,000g from expansion after expansion of little to spend it on and growing inflation.

At cap, outside of the odd gem or enchant and repair bill, there’s little to nothing for me to spend on. Meanwhile its easy to rack up tens of thousands of gold in income for doing very little. It adds up—I buy enchants for low level because there’s little else to spend gold on.

I’m pretty sure only Hush is calling people using enchanted heirlooms twinks.

was great in PvE content. I didnt miss it in PvP tbh

You are sort of proving my point.
It took minimal effort by simply enchanting my heirlooms to be able to compete.
Incidentally, that worgen hunter had exactly ONE enchantment, and nothing else.
If you are going to PvP, then you do what you can to be prepared to PvP.
Nobody would try to take down a mythic raid boss wearing questing green now would they?

PvP is no different, you gear appropriately for the encounter.
And since PvP no longer has gear designed specifically for PvP, equipping some dungeon gear would be fine.

I have seen plenty of people in BG’s wearing dungeon blues hold their own just fine.
And with the buff to dungeon rewards, this would have made levelers even more viable against twinks, so there really was no reason to separate the queues.
Heck, the basic gear that most twinks would start out with, is readily available to literally everyone.
I was working on a baby twink when all this happened, and it took me exactly 1 run through the Sunwell to get the basics.

So there just really is no excuse to not to to be competitive in a competitive instance.

You guys need to stop treating Hush as the voice of the average non-twink. She’s nuts.

I think there are many on both sides looking for a middle ground, unfortunately she’s the one posting the most

See before you at least had a chance at getting multiple twinks in on your team, when you went against a twink team. Now, if you go against a twink that queues up, you’re defenseless, see how just leaving things be, is better for everyone?

This is what Blizzard should of done imo.

"We want to make the PvP community award of a change that happened with 8.1.5. Players with XP disabled have once again been move to their own bracket.

We feel this change is required while we look at alternative ways of dealing with the gear gap at low levels. Some of our suggestions are as follows.

  • a guaranteed box with a relevant gear item for a win and a small chance of a box for a loss, just like at max level.

  • improved scaling, which could include an ilvl cap.

Because those options require internal and PTR testing it’s required to separate the brackets for the time being. Rest assured we believe all our players deserve an equal chance at playing the game and hope to have some of these chances included with 8.2

We apologize for not including a change like this in the patch notes. Our commitment to better communication is a serious one and this as an oversight."

But that’s too hard for this dev team.

This would of eased a lot of the discontent being shown.
