Twinks are now just leaving BGs early

Blizzard ruined healing for me at 120 with the absurd mana nerf.

I still focus on objectives while playing low level toons, unlike levelers who run from fights.

The most common answer was that 120 is too complicated or that gear was just too hard to get at 120. I thought what was good for the goose was good for the gander.

Oh no… pvp happened in a bg.

Blah blah QQ.

There’s a lot of reasons to twink, everyone has their own. For me I gravitate toward 49s:

  • Gearing isn’t crazy, most BIS items are likely dungeon blues to grind out
  • You get one and only one PVP talent, so there’s tons of choice and potential for difference
  • Not too much that’s crazy OP itemization wise
  • You have most of your important skills, fairly complete kits, yet missing enough that classes and specs feel different still
  • Great pacing—you can put down decent damage and healing outside of burst CDs; reminds me of Cataclysm PVP
  • Decent spread of viability of specs; a few standard OP options but didn’t feel as bad as 29s and 39s
  • Warforge/Titanforge/No-PVP vendor gear treadmill at 120 is avoided
  • Static gearing per patch; I don’t get as much time to play anymore, and when playing 120s I spend most of my playtime just keeping up with the gear process rather than playing
  • 49s is a low enough bracket and simple enough gearing path that it doesn’t take much time to re-roll if I want to run alts

Even Juga, someone who didn’t think twinks were an issue at all until just a month or two ago, can admit certain brackets were a problem.

I’m going to see about getting level 110 twinks to get involved in this.

Classic. “They want gay marriage?? What’s next? People will want to marry their dogs?”

(This is an example, not an insinuation about your character in particular)

Stop assuming what people will rally for next and evaluate what we want at the present. We aren’t clamoring to be able to zone into BGs naked, we just wanted to stop getting farmed by BiS folks.

If you have to shut off your experience to acquire it, you shouldn’t be paired with xp-on players. Any items you want to use against us, you should risk leveling out of the bracket to acquire.

It is out of my hands, not much we can do to change that. :fork_and_knife:
Hopefully players are compassionate with their “Levelers” in the Xpon brackets.

You may be reading that but you don’t seam to comprehend it.

Have you ever played card games? Any kind. Or D&D?

Do you have any idea how hard it is to set up regular (reliable) meet up for a group for these games? And this is for like 3-5 people in the same city.

Now try to do that with 20/30/80 people spread across a dozen time zones, between two factions, divided among 10 brackets. All for a 10 min game.

That kind of coordination is just not feasible, regardless of how large the community is. That’s what the que is for. It’s supposed to automatically search and pair groups FROM AN INFINITELY LARGER POOL.

But this change has greatly diminished our pool down from 4 million to about 10 thousand. And divide those by time zone, faction and brackets and then divide those by availablily, luck, and timing… at any given moment, there’s probably about 50 Twinks playing. And they usually get paired off immediately, leaving countless players sitting in que waiting hours for their turn.

Well-put, totally agree.

So let me get this straight, they’re leaving BG’s early to not level, and getting a 15 minute deserter. THEN waiting another 10 minutes for a Q to pop. So Twinks are waiting ~25 minutes to que with everyone else… But WON’T wait that long to just play with other twinks?

But twinks wanting to destroy people they severely outgear ISN’T the problem?

There’s 11 brackets lol. Sometimes when I queued on my 60 when queues weren’t separated it would hit 25+ mins. You think people want to spend hours to coordinate 20 level 60s with xp off to join the bg queue at the same time? Will never happen. Trust me if queues would pop with xp off I’d be alllll over it and love it, but they won’t.

All this means is, when I go in with whites and nekked - you are now the twink - I hope you don’t chase and kill me in these BGs - I want to go in wearing a dress as a plate user - because, well, I like dresses but want to be a paladin too - so I had to do both. You better scale down your leveler-twink to conform with my social gameplay now.

But as you can see doesn’t take twinks to ruin them.

How many times does it need to be said that Twinks weren’t the only issue?

I know. That’s not the point.

This entire conversation blows my mind - you guys say you want to level through a BG - but you lose 40 to 60% of your games and don’t get good xp at all when you lose. So if you want to level through a BG, why wouldn’t you find ways to improve your experience? This game gives so many ways to improve your chances of winning - why not do them?

Do you use the free saltwater potion pots you get from honor? No, you don’t. Do you create macros, or ask to put the Mark on Healers at the beginning of the match to protect the healers - no, you don’t.

Do you stay with the objectives and try to assist the win - lol no.

Do they use research and use add-ons like Capping and BattlegroundEnemies to improve their chances of winning - no, they never do.

Do they complain in chat about everyone else sucks and doesn’t know anything - lol yes, they do.

People who care about winning do something about it - casual levelers don’t do any of these things, because they want to pawn the crossroads and be carried - but then cry when some one who does care about their winning - comes through and stomps them. Or, the best is when everyone in the beginning agrees LM + BS… and you get the 4 people all try to cap Stables to see who can do it first, and then run straight to GM and Farm - and weird - get stomped. Then we’re out manned at LM + BS and lose both - and it’s gg within the first 60 seconds. Because at that point, everyone because keyword warriors.

Building up 10k gold at level 120 is not that hard. That will put enchants on all your heirloom gear - that’s if you don’t have an alt that has enchanting already.

If you want to separate out the try hards from the casuals - that’s fine - but you should do it at 120 too - where people who have invested a high amount of time to improve their chances of winning are separated out for the people who are more casual about winning.

And this blows my mind. The casuals and try hards are separated at max level. Try hards do Arena and Rated. They CAN go into random BG’s, but who in their right mind past ilvl 385 would want to deal with that headache? Sure they can beat a guy one on one, but not 2v1. The gear gap isn’t THAT extreme.

And you’re argument is “Somone should invest 10k gold” into an alt that will only be in that bracket 2 days max? Do you understand how silly that sounds? We should all be required to fork out some extra gold to be competitive in a bracket that is clearly designed to be leveled through.

For me, a father of 2 with very little extra time, twinking was a great way for me to have a project (doing research, then farming dungeons for gear with 3% drop rates, then enchanting them with gold earned on my high level toons) that allowed me to be a more casual player; The idea was to design a static toon that wouldn’t change, but stay relevant, regardless of new content. The appeal was found in the need to only gear-up one time, instead of constantly fighting against rising ceiling imposed by new patches/seasons/xpacs, then logging-in to the game at will and queuing for a bg or two before logging off. It’s that simple…nothing more.

Incorrect. They are waiting ~25 minutes to queue with everyone else because they don’t want to sit in a queue in perpetuity only to not play in a single game.
Not fun games > No games at all.
