Twinks are now just leaving BGs early

He’s partaking.

Personally I see no other way of this not happening, unless they add a new system to make levelers competitive or fix twink queue times/

2X health and damage advantage is significant IMO. It’s hard to say as I don’t play lower level BGs, but I trust the comments of certain folks whose descriptions of their levelers’ encounters with twinks don’t seem very fun.

Buffing heirlooms could indeed be a solution.

Re. “Those people could just as easily log onto their 120s when they feel like a battleground”… Why don’t twinks “just” play their 120s? You can “twink” your 120 just fine, particularly if you like PvE content. And you can compare your actual skill against others in arena/rated. What exactly makes twinks so passionate about playing lower levels rather than max level? I think it’s because it is the easiest way to overpower. That’s why they do it. And they NEED regular levelers to fill out their BGs and provide a lot of the fun, even though they take them for granted and, in the worst cases, disparage them.

“Rational reaction”? No, the rational reaction would be to form up a central twink community and continue that way. Not antagonize the majority of people who are regularly leveling, and who ARE happy with the change.

Very well said Ifrzu. I agree completely.

Not sure where Irisse got this but health/ilvl of twinks/heirloom gear are roughly equal. The damage comes from certain trinkets/weapon procs. Some have engineering so they can make higher ilvl goggles and I’ve seen trinkets but think those are 20s/30s+? At later levels it’s stacking gems to have quite a bit of one stat like crit or versatility. Adding gems to heirlooms would definitely come a long way in closing the power gap

Even before the change trying to set up Wargames was such a hassle,Utilizing communities for 110 twinking , Battle net communities and friends list, People just can’t be on at the same time. If you mange to get people on , still have to worry about refilling if people leave. I actively invite any 110 to horde community I see that wants to twink so I can maybe get some wargames going. All this was done before patch, Imagine trying to do this now, with the change people just stop playing.

I am also in agreement. 100%. Far as I’m concerned, the twinks so-called ‘movement’ has the same character and odor as a bowel movement.

Edit: Typo, so the twinks don’t have another ‘movement’ over poor syntax.

100% I endorse playing to win, within honest means.
This thread is just beginning, the forums will document this as we progress.

At Honor Level 1, the forums will be your best source of information.

Ah, I was waiting for the ad hominem, and you didn’t disappoint. Your leap to conclusions may be premature, however. I’ve more than 360,000 hk’s on this toon alone, and am probably quite a bit more familiar with PVP that the majority. Possibly even you??

But keep trying; after all, if you have no solid ground on which to base your position, you have to desperately attempt to construct some basis on which to proceed with your theme…tangents don’t need to apply, you’ll go get 'em! Right, tiger?

Watch them introduce a ban for getting a certain amount of deserter debuffs within a certain amount of time, and have all these players form a river of salt.

Have not set foot in Instanced PVP since Legion?
Accounts are common.

I support the twinks farming Xpon bgs 100% right now, so maybe they re-evaluate this change, coming up with a better solution, or reverting back. So if you are getting farmed right now please make a post about it, the twinks are counting on it.

It is significant, sure. It is however less than what now exists at 120, even after scaling, or between “real” levelers in leveling greens and leveling alts in heirlooms, neither of which people get outraged by.

I think the primary attraction of twinking is to get out of the “rat race” of the perpetual leveling and gearing grind, and be able to play at one’s own pace, especially if that pace is slower than the game tends to require in most areas. You can’t do that at 120; you have to keep up on the gearing, whether it’s warfronts and emissaries and Conquest, or whether it’s mythic raiding if you really want not to be outgeared by anyone else. Some people don’t want a rat race in their recreational activity.

For a few that’s the main attraction instead, yes. However, I think you’re mistaken about it being the easiest way to achieve that objective; the easiest way is to be 120, and go seek out levelers to gank. The people who want to beat on other people without risk are mostly at max level, and that’s why they were able to win the forum fight to reverse level scaling, leading to the present situation where even levelers between 110 and 119 have no chance to fight back against 120s.

I love the idea as far as adding depth to the leveling experience, I just think that it would create a new platform for complaints moreso than addressing the issue—because enchants are the only modification we currently have, and they’re the biggest target for the anti-twink crowd.

Just came back to say with a few days left on my sub(don’t know if you still need a sub to post) I called something like this, and I am fairly sure this is only the start. There will always be a workaround. You guys do realize I can and its still possible to get into any xpon bracket with xpoff still activated? I’ve seen this route so much in every expansion and bracket, people will almost always go for the advantage, whether that advantage is balanced is still manageable though. This change will not go well…

This is true but you can’t beat the convenience of pressing a button and having undergeared players delivered to your doorstep, and even better, they’re stuck in the cage that is a BG map with you. It’s absolutely one of the core attraction points for twinking.

Now imagine if those undergeared were geared before stepping into a bg.

But that’s not a practical expectation. You’re never gonna have leveling BGs where everybody is geared. Blizz could impose ilvl minimums which would improve the situation, but even that can’t be too strict or queues will never pop. It’s simply not possible to convince everybody or even half of leveling players to gear up before queueing.

Better low-level PvP vendors could help a lot with this though, or hell, even just round up the vendors that currently exist so we don’t have to hoof it out to Ashenvale or Pandaria or Draenor or wherever to access the gear that’s already there.

We can prep for ragefire chasm too. I’ll check with each player to ensure they’ve got their flask buff. Ready check before we pull the troggs.

Nah.

Twinks are the only one’s treating level 19, 29, etc. content like it’s a competitive, cutting edge format. It’s a leveling method. Low level PvE / auction house shenanigans shouldn’t be necessary pre-requisites for low level PvP. Jump in and go.

It’s the only way to reduce que times and play their twinks.
