Twinking - can we remove the separated bracket system?

The system doesn’t stop anyone from doing that, it just makes people take XP if they join the regular queues.

You have a chance to get “better gear” at pretty much any level lol.

No it isn’t, people level the way they want to level, stop trying to make twinks like end game. So you are saying if people quest, bg, and do dungeons then they are being lazy. LOL, silly rabbit Trixs are for kids!

No you don’t I and many others have explained this to you! By the time you enchant and get max gear the player is already in another bracket and would have to attempt to do the same thing again at least 4 more times!!! You are going to call me stupid but can’t even comprehend what many have told you in this thread and many others.

Pot let me introduce you to kettle.

NO YOU DONT!!! If someone for example ques for an instance at level 15 they will be at least level 18 or 19, with maybe one drop. One or even two more quest and they are already level 20, I don’t know how else to explain it to you all. Leveling is just way too fast, the only way to level slow is to BGS, and you won’t get good drops from those.

So how do you get gear? Quest and instances that give you anywhere from 4-5 levels when you complete them, why is this so hard for people to understand?

who said max gear at every level? its crazy to expect that yet it’s perfectly fine to have the lowest gear as possible? you keep asking how to gear and i’ll keep saying make it/buy it. there is gear with sockets and gems that can bought with honor. gems are cheap. enchants are cheap. play more of the game besides clicking join bg or get beat by those who do.

They are just passing through and many think it’s unfair that they should be expected to have gear that is as good as quest gear. I don’t mean all gear, I mean any gear. Level 10 with an ilvl of 1? Sure, carry me daddy!

Absolutely not. It is rare indeed to see a level 15 with an ilvl of 15. Anyone. People level so fast now that, especially when they’re forced into BfA dungeons where there is no helpful satchel, they fall rapidly behind.

I would say they need to look at quest gear and dungeons to increase drop rates, quest rewards, and extend the satchel to all expansions. But they not long ago nerfed Legion artifact relics hard, so it’s not unusual to see a level 40 with an ilvl 20 weapon. Relics are now a 1.4% drop in dungeons.

It’s crazy, there’s not even like, any amount of effort you have to put in to do this anymore… sub 30, okay, little bit of effort and gold, but nothing more than what you’d be doing anyways. After 30 the cata valor gear will carry till mid 40s as most people aren’t gearing. By that time should have picked up a few replacements from wins or otherwise.

Just refusing to play the game he pays a sub for lol

Let me see if I understand correctly. At 60 you are expected to do various forms of PvE/PvP in order to get a minimum level of strength or you get crushed - yet those who do so at low levels are ostracized and ridiculed. Why not hold all brackets to that same standard?

This whole belief that only “endgame” should be about gearing is nonsense. They just need to tune the outliers and let twinks back in the general pool. Twinking is fun for many reasons.

  1. Only needing to gear one time versus the gear every ladder reset.
  2. No bullsh!t covenants, legendaries or other endgame chores to crush your soul.
  3. Very easy access to gear.
  4. Some of the older gear allows for unique builds that are not viable at endgame.

I was just about to type the same exact thing. I see people saying thinks are a bad thing and ruin the game, but are the same that say endgame pvp is just fine while there is a 50+ ilvl difference between people in most bgs.

For a while it seemed like they were working on balancing the lower brackets. Like how they nerfed;

Just look at the disgusting state of endgame PvP. That leads to more and more people wanting an alternative experience. Whenever endgame content is a clown fiesta twinking becomes a fallback for many people. Having the brackets split eliminates that fallback. Which leads to people finding less reasons to login and play.

I think both are bad.

I think PvP is more fun when the playing field is more level.

Well its obviously not even close to an even playing field at 60, so why are people so up in arms about twinks at low brackets?

edit; I do want better balance across the board from 10 to 60. They removed twinks in the attempt to make PvP more balanced, but then why are they allowing 60 to remain a dumpster fire?

Its symptomatic of the design philosophy that is turning this game into a frustrating endeavor instead of a way to relax. Throwing a bandaid on low level balance issues by removing twinks = lazy, worthless devs

lol, it also ruins experience at lvl 60 when your team is crushed due to gear

So you basically want to just dumpster people with zero gear whom are leveling with your optimally geared character to feel good about yourself… Does that sounds about right? You don’t enjoy Q’ing up against your own twinks… right? Just not fun then, is it?

Ramstein and Sul are ancient history, old news.
And yes, there has been a great effort by this team in regards to adjustments within the lower brackets. Since SL launch. Every week.

Is that why bramble surv is running rampant in the 20 bracket, because of all the work the devs have done

Maybe lower level Hunter is not so easy to balance? after all these years. :upside_down_face:
Entry level Twinking brackets, Hunters happen.

So then what bracket does all your vaunted “balance” that the devs have worked hard to create exist in?

Adjustments have been made continuously within the lower brackets since launch, every week. 100s of them.
I am not sure if direct class balance bracket adjustments can be specifically made via spells/abilities.
Items/gear have been worked on.
