Many reddit threads, much chaos. If you value your account, do not use any join group macros to dodge the xp off penalty for group members, like the one on BETI’s 10 guide. That seems to be the commonality between banned persons.
During the anniversary, I was queueing with a level 70 from my main account and an 11 from my trial account. As of yesterday, if I did that again, my account would get closed permanently.
Seems a bit much, hopefully blizz releases a statement.
My best guess is its just false flags being raised somehow. I sincerely doubt they would seriously start closing accounts over their own garbage scaling.
How is this different from queueing with a level 20 on a trial account (max level for them) or a level 70 on a wow account that hasn’t purchased TWW? Yes I realize it’s not as fast as a 11, but it’s pretty darn close. I just don’t get the hate.
P.S. No funny stuff like a macro required in both the 20 and 70 cases. They’re at max level and won’t gain XP.
Uhhh, multi-boxing is legal as long as 1 keystroke equals 1 action on 1 character. This is NOT botting. Example, alt-tab between multiple windows and pressing a key / clicking the mouse per character.
Reading the thread you linked (and seeing Community Council people talking about AI moderation is pretty yikes) it says that if you queue with a twinking character for Timewalking, the other characters in the instance are supposed to get an XP debuff.
People were using workarounds to get around the debuff. That’s an exploit, and probably why they caught a ban.
