Turtle Shell is trash. Please just remove this awful defensive

This entire thread is you giving fried responses.

Nah. It’s mostly me trying to respond in good faith and you being who you typically are.

Your good faith is fried.

Thanks for proving my point.

where the hell is Dillon at?
This thread needs the dillon to explain the mathematics and physics that occur when the turtle keybind is pressed

What point, that I troll people who are incorrect in their statements and too delusion and or stubborn to realize they are wrong when ppl (Bathrobe/Kennie) explain to them how they are wrong? Sure.

No, the sequence of events I listed happens exactly as listed. You’re fixated on a completely different scenario that a lot of people do actually fail at pretty often with spells and abilities already in flight. It’s been a known thing about turtle since its inception. It does not deflect until the animation is done, and the animation is longer than deterrence’s animation was. You need to use it earlier than you could have used deter, and it’s only really a significant problem in extreme scenarios when something has it’s oneshot in a stars-aligned scenario where they’re already using it as the animation is going off. But even if you turtle first and see it on the game logs, there’s a very small window where new events pass through it. It’s the animation.

Seen bolt “go thru” cloak, while mid air and the rogue cloaked after

We really are due for a good thread of Dillon explaining things and idiots arguing against it. All were missing here is the dill.

Dillon explained this a long time ago in wod or legion. He doesn’t agree with you.

Aight ill log on my hunter tonight and test the truth behind this statement

But that hasn’t happened. You guys are arguing semantics. Call it whatever you want. If you want to lay out exactly how things are different, by all means. Just saying ones an immunity and ones not means nothing.

In the end, it’s how it was designed. If we are going to disagree on the how, so be it. The end result is the same.

Latency is a factor. I’m not at all discounting that.

chaos damage has weird interactions like this that aren’t well documented afaik

demo chaos damage, but not destro, could kill a blocked mage in the same latency-based fashion whenever demonbolt was a thing

Sorry that my character’s name isn’t more fun than a pillow fight.

I’m just talking about latency and how chaos bolt mid air interacts with defensives used “late”

Rogue was cloaked when bolt animation hit and died while cloaked.

Demonbolt was chaos (phys included) in WoD I think according to wowhead changelog

oh yeah it just demonstrates the truth of it. “damage cloak is capable of immuning”, will be, even if you cloak late, but magical chaos damage apparently isn’t counted as damage cloak is capable of immuning all of the time. i assume that’s caused by cloak being two parts in one buff, which is extremely rare in this game
