Trust Level Transparency

it is stupid though, you’re better off writing your password down than relying on basic encryption.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion, but since you know nothing about (AES) 256-bit with symmetric algorithms, I will resist returning the favor of noting your option the way you have labeled mine.

go ahead tell me abut it lol what ive learned from a google course online has said not to use it lol

I now remember why we don’t talk. Have a nice night.

u reply to every repoly to me how is that “i now remember why we dn’t talk” if u cant explain it then i gues sud don’t know how it works then either lol

Same. Remember most of mine, but some I have written in a little notebook, that I keep hidden. A little to cautious probably since I live by myself , but oh well is what it is lol.

Exactly. I am old enough that at some point I am going to have to set up some basic info sheets for family so they can get into accounts if I am gone. Heh. The important ones anyway. Bills, bank, etc. I trust the cats not to steal my passwords and go shopping.

Granted I have passwords that MUST stay secure, so writing them down or trying to remember something simply isn’t something I can do. :frowning:

Nobody claimed this was gonna happen overnight. Also, I don’t think you should close your eyes to facts that are being reported on just because they’re not good news. Sometimes bad news also needs to be reported on. That doesn’t make me “doom and gloom”.

I had Trust Level 3 and it was just gone one day. I had no suspensions or account action taken. I also didn’t take any extended breaks from the forums. It’s a tragedy; I miss my cat gifs.

Never understood why requirements for trust level 3 is not clearly displayed for users.

Is there an actual reason, or is it an oversight that devs never addressed?

Yea I would think that was when a lot of us lost it. That said, lots of those same people got it back quick. I did not.

The forums are a third party product. Definitely intentional. They could tell us exactly what it takes and haven’t. While we have a decent amount of details, it’s not entirely clear.

Thanks for sharing this!

In the past, I lost my Trust Level 3 from lack of activity. I don’t tend to read a lot of posts and threads- I tend to focus on a few threads. So, my “read” count is the hardest thing to keep up with.

Every now and then, I find a massive thread and slowly scroll through it, just to up the count.

I try to be generous with my likes, since that is a factor.

should be relatively easy just to rule these out though

  • Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days
  • Must have replied to at least 10 different topics
  • Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics
  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies)
  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.
  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

It is usually the reading of 20,000 posts that people have a problem with. You can’t just scroll through threads to get that either - you can to spend enough time on each post for the blue dots to disappear. Appears to take 3 seconds now…

As far as I know, I surpass all of those by a pretty wide margin, but maybe I’m missing something. Given that it’s a rolling window of some type, it’s not clear where you’re at or how close you are to losing it. I mean, if you lose it once in a 100 day period, does it take another 100 days from the point you lost it to get it back?

Regardless, if there is something I’m missing, then the majority of players will NEVER have that privilege and that’s pretty absurd. That said, if there is some kind of hold on the account, that should be apparent as well.

If you ask in customer support the blues will on occasion tell you what you need. I couldn’t figure out why I was short so I asked and was 9k posts short reading but I later remembered after I was reading a lot on my ipad not being logged into the forum so none of that was counting, plus I might have been reading through the posts too fast and not getting credit.

I believe since I was banned at least once, no matter good I am now… I can never reach trust level 3. Never.

I have been suspended a few time years ago and I have T3. If you were banned for a year I don’t know, maybe you will never get.
