I keep forgetting it exists tbh lol
I literally just found a High Elf thread, clicked in the scroll wheel, started my way down, and went to bed.
Blizzard wants to suck as much of you out of your life.
What?! blizzard making a horrible system that’s arbitrary and nonsensical?
Blizzard did not make the system. The forum software is called Discourse and the company who makes it designed the system. Customers who buy or use it can tweak it, but the system and basics are all from Discourse.

I would just really like to post pictures/gifs.
Oh, you can’t post gifs…that’s so sad.

Is there a way to look up my progress on getting to trust level 3 in these forums?
Patience. When I started on the forum I just kept reading, enjoying (a better class of crowd back then) and contributing. Part of it is so you actually know who you’re talking to when you post those gifs. Yeah, the fun part is that, but also knowing the gaming and being able to post links to info.
People come and go, but kind of “the pulse” of the crowd - it usually changes in waves with the regulars in there. I just hate that if you ever get to play the Beta version of any expac you get T3 for life - that’s total bs in my opinion. I don’t mind having to work to get my trust level back because I’ve discovered new forum goers and I think that’s the point. But i don’t care if you played in the beta in a Blizz office, you have to spend as much time getting to know who’s who on the forum as anyone else.
Lmao, this is hilarious.
I got it a long time ago but I liked the old forums better where we could have our own custom quotes on our toons here. And I heard the only way to lose it is you unsub and then do not post for a time, then it will restart you. So I have been told.
Just wait till you become my trust level.
If I ever get it, there will be a reckoning. A cat gif contest awaits!
wiggles toes
I think this was our 2nd time to 20,000 as well
It was, I forget what the first one was called when the new forums first started up.
This time it was an auto continuation… we are moving up in the world!
What I used to do to pad the 20k posts cause it’s ridiculous was find a thread with thousands of posts, then set my mouse to auto-scroll down it and go take a shower or something. Lol.
I tried that but when the monitor blacks out, the scrolling stops. I set my monitor to never go to sleep so it could keep scrolling, but yes it doesn’t go to sleep, but it still blacks out after about 2 minutes. Not sure how to prevent that.

I think there’s a sleep function and an independent screen saver function. Could be a screensaver that’s set to black.
Oh yes!!! Thank you. I had it set to blank. Now it’s set to none.
Many thanks!!
if there was a trust level us players had for blizzard from a 1 to 10 it be a 2 atm.

No… If you don’t read enough, or give enough likes, to keep up with the rolling 100 day requirements you lose it automatically. Nothing to do with unsubbing - other than the forums not letting you post of course. You can lose it if you don’t unsub but just go inactive on the forums.
You also lose it if you get suspended (unless someone has a special Beta license). It can be earned back but takes 6 months.

I didnt when I was last.
Someone said it was related to a beta key but I’ve never had a beta invite that I know of.
You did have SL beta, judging by the tag on your profile. If you look for the b-license-145 thing under groups when looking at your forum profile where the forum stats are, you can see it. From personal observations anyone with that tag has account-wide trust level 3 and so far everyone I’ve seen with it was in SL alpha/beta too.

Do you have several WoW accounts linked to your Battlenet account? It could be that you received an invitation to beta on one of those other “alt” accounts, even if they were inactive / unsubbed.
It’s just a terrible and poorly made system.
I hate that it’s SO EASY to lose Trust Level 3. I lost mine back in November last year, and I’ve still been unable to get it back. Reading 20k posts, then losing it because you missed a few days living real life, is kind of crazy. I can understand if they drop you back down because you were gone for a month or so, but damn.
Edit: it’d also be helpful if you could tell how much more you needed to reach Trust Level 3, there doesn’t seem to be a way to tell by looking at the .json page of your character.
