It honestly isn’t worth it when you realize how much your freedom of speech is policed just to get it. I got suspended for calling someone a fool…

Freedom of Speech protects you from being arrested by the Government for speaking up about your Govt and leaders. It does not mean Private property rights vanish and that private property owners, workplaces, etc can’t set rules and enforce them.
You agreed to follow the forum Code of Conduct. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/000256989 Blizzard enforcing agreed on rules and removing you from their private property does not violate your free speech rights.
As for the rest of it, you can earn TL3 after a Suspension. It takes about 6 more months though but is now possible.

If anyone is trust level 2, or thinks they’re trust level 2/3, just try to do T3 exclusive things, like links, gifs that sort of thing. Easiest way to figure this sort of thing out is to just go ahead and do it. Worst case scenario, someone links a dead grey link. oh well.
How about 20 or so suspensions? Asking for a friend.
Most of the CC earned their status by simply not being… me, or like me. I should be the kind of person you get offended by… I’ll try harder, I’m sorry.
Yeah I don’t know about that. I know they changed it so that one suspension does not ruin it forever. So that people could eventually get TL3 back if they don’t get suspended again. I don’t know if it has any setting that can perma lock people anymore. I suspect it resets to your last suspension. The whole system is software based and hands off.
I have had colored text since 2103. TS/CS MVP as well. Don’t worry, colored text can’t hurt you.

I don’t personally care either way. More freedoms or functions doesn’t really matter to me, because I’d never use them. This is all I use or need. I think, realistically, this is all most people really need.
If people didn’t know there was a trust level, they wouldn’t care about it. It’s just a number. If there were an accessible trust level 4, people would be complaining that they aren’t in that bracket.

My way is more interesting, therefor more valid.
The limitations have everything to do with people posting questionable content so they gate it behind some sort of metric to help prevent spam bots/newer accounts from linking gambling sites and worse.
The previous forums we had did not allow any outside links at all, ever. We could only link to Blizzard websites. So it was limited to news posts, support articles, etc.
I don’t think we explicitly NEED to be able to link images and gifs, but I admit it is a lot of fun.

Did you make that cup? Looks hand made. It looks nice, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t look like it came off of an assembly line, put together by machines a thousand at a time.
My favorite cups, are from an antique tea set with saucers. I probably get some sort of heavy metal poisoning from drinking out of them, but it makes my coffee fancy and I like them.
It is hand made! I got it at a craft faire. A pottery maker in my state has been making them for many many years and I have a fair assortment of her things. I really like her work.
I DO enjoy tea in the smaller sets. I am lucky enough to have my grandmother’s china as well as a set I got at an antique store.

I spoke with Blizzard. They said under no circumstances was Shenny to be given TL3.

Yes they do as long as you meet the requirements.
Are you opted into DF beta? Last I checked, getting into any beta gives you auto TL3 on the forums cause I guess you may need to post links or whatever. I dunno the reason. But it’s also like super TL3 in that it seems to be bugged (maybe?) to be permanent (maybe?) as long as you aren’t being silly and getting suspensions. It’s…a long shot I suppose, but could be a shortcut if you get an invite. 
Just try to log in here here everyday, and look at a few threads and comment a little.
The consecutive read time days are a big part of it.
I once lost level 3, because of vacation, and not being here to read the forums, but after a consecutive read time of 30 days, it came right back.
Your ‘read time’ is only 8 consecutive days. That’s the only reason I can see that you might not have trust level 3.
The other way to get TL3 is to get into the Alpha (or at least it worked for previous alphas/betas). The added benefit to this method is you get automatic TL3 on all characters that if I’m not mistaken doesn’t fall off from lack of use.
