Great, so they should go to reddit and talk about it there.
Nah. That’d defeat the purpose of Devs leaving the threads in the forum.
I sound like I belong in retail because I like Classic WoW and not FF14. Do you people even read what you’re typing before you post it?
Yes, quite a bit so.
Yeahhhhh. Again, crap game /wave
Well he wasn’t wrong about something. You are genuinely asking for QoL but not wanting it to call it that, but he’s literally telling you to go play Retail if you want to play QoL changes and non-sluggish combats.
Meanwhile Classic/TBC does have sluggish combats depending on your class, and dungeons can take longer time than FF14 dungeons. I am sorry that your gameplay style can’t keep up with current modern MMORPGs.
why are w*w players so intimidated, do they have a reason to be scared or something?
Same. With all the hype and free trial I figured I’d give it a try. It was just so painfully boring that I didn’t log on a second time.
Neither of the two, but keep projecting. I just do not care about a crap game on a different game’s forums. So easy to personally attack. Perhaps it is you who is scared and of low energy? Fishing for more players to play a dying game is that it?
haha easy there little guy im sure w*w will still be around its just not ever gonna be as big as it once was
This has never been true for any FF games. Ever. Even 7. People only think 7 had a good story because of FMV. That’s it.
7 Remake completely embraced the fan-service. It’ll take the folks blinded by nostalgia a few years to realize this, but 7 Remake was abysmal.
Not to say 7’s is bad, but it’s very simple. Made for children. Much like Star Wars.
This opinion is legitimate. Other people might disagree but if Delimicus found it sluggish, then he is perfectly entitled to think so.
Doesn’t mean he is absolutely correct, nor do I think he was intending to do so otherwise he’d have made a far more substantial comparison. But he’s not doing a heavy analysis or comparison on gameplay, he’s just giving you his 0.02$.
Depending in how well you value his opinion (which I do) that may or may not mean a lot to you.
Yes, I’ve noticed the algorithm has changed. However, given I know how Google and YouTube work, I doubt today’s algorithms are entirely organic.
The timing of the lawsuit followed by trends in the algorithm just tell me that all the hands controlling the market want me to stop playing TBC and move onto something else.
Why? Because I’m a consumer and I’m not supposed to sit on one product for too long.
Unfortunately, I don’t follow trends. I do what I want.
This is why I’ve disregarded calls to quit TBC in light of popular streamers or youtubers departing. I don’t follow the whims of online algorithms. I play a game because I think its fun.
Like, take this for example:
The thing I don’t get about this is he mentions the “sunk cost” fallacy which is stupid to me. It’s all part of this “get hype and consume next product” culture that is being taught that if something isn’t popular, you just abandon it and proceed to the next thing.
I don’t play TBC because it’s popular. I play it because I enjoy it. I want Dual Spec for the same reason–I want to enjoy even more.
Don’t you think it’s an odd state affairs that if FF14 really were as popular and worthwhile that people wouldn’t be constantly begging WoW folks to join them?
Thing is, I doubt it’s really so much hype for the game as it is bitterness towards WoW. Really, folks want people at Blizzard to see them say, “My MMO is so much bigger than your MMO. So there!”
Meant 14. Raided 11 for years before wow, I’m well aware lol
I’m a wow fan but come on… SE basically INVENTED lore in video games
Imagine a company couldn’t figure out their last project before disbanding it and calling it Final Fantasy, and turned out to be one of the best work in their history retelling fantasy and adventure lores.
No, they didn’t. They just coat their games in fan-service and anyone who wants to say they play their games other than because it has super-cute anime women and hyper-androgynous men is lying to you.

I think that applies for everyone and that QoL is important for WoW Classic right now more than ever. But Demilicus’s behavior is just awfully toxic and not helping the community to fight together to make it better.
I played FFXIV back during Heavensward and I was doing those dungeons at the end of the base game. I came out of a cutscene and the boss was dead and the group was sprinting down the next hallway. They really don’t wait for people to watch curscenes there either. I was told to skip the cutscenes and just watch them later at my inn room.

Look at his post history. It’s full of people who are constantly spouting ignorance and although he tries his best to correct the record or show when someone is just talking out of their orifice, yet more folks show up and repeat the same falsities or lie even more.
And nobody seems to lose anything for it for lying about the game.
Hundreds of people come to say, “Go back to retail” in response to any requests for Dual-Spec which only goes to show they don’t know when Dual-Spec was implemented or why.
He’s not being toxic. He’s just treating children like children. As soon as they show they can be adults, he won’t have to treat them like children anymore.

Ok. Name a game company that preceded SE that was known for lore and story based content.
I’ll wait, but you cant.

Yep. Experienced exactly this as well

Right. And him telling someone else who supports the idea of dual spec to go play other game helps the cause of TBC to get better, right? He’s not treating children like children. He’s just basically showing his nature of toxic behavior for jumping in and try to say that other game is bad with poor arguments despite his taste.
His implication of saying “If you don’t like TBC, then go play FF14 or quit the game” is no different to “if you don’t like Classic, go play Retail”. It’s literally the same. It’s giving ultimatum perspective to tell others to quit the game for wanting QoL.
