It’s actually mind-blowing how much better FF14 is, I can see why people are leaving wow.
Dev team actually plays the game and is passionate about it as well. Ask yourself are you playing wow right now to actually have fun or to “own” and “minmax”

Every class is nearly identical. The combat is sluggish. The endgame is:
New co-leader of Blizzard has a Vanilla PvP title and is top 200 or so Fury Warriors in the world in Mythic+. Ion raids Mythic. I’ve seen a R14 (in Classic) player on the WoW Classic team, etc.
Tabbed back in because I was letting my friend watch the cinematic so he can fully absorb the story and rich lore.
W*w players don’t do that, over here we’re family.
And WoW isn’t? That’s an awful comparison. Combats aren’t even that sluggish either comparing to Classic.
You literally just proved that you barely even played and said FF14 is not better than WoW.
And yet devs for Blizzard can’t get anything right or listen to fans, while FF14 devs actually do care about the consumers.
If you wish to mingle with the weebs and such, by all means, go do that.
If you enjoy the game then have fun.

Ion is a fantastic raid designer but an awful game designer - if this new head of development doesn’t worry you something’s off.

The Classes in WoW play significantly different than the Classes in FF14. FF14 abilities are just a function of a DPS rotation. If you want truly homogenized gameplay, you play FF14.
If you want a game where you can sit around and roleplay, FF14 will probably be good for you.
Then play it. You don’t need to come on here.

I can see why people are jumping over there since it seems like a decent game with a good community but a PVE MMO with tons of cutscenes doesn’t appeal to me. The thing is I would start investing more time in another MMO but absolutely none of them appeal to me.
Anyway yeah you’re not saying anything new and your thread is going to get force moved to Games, Gaming and Hardware by the mods.
It’s a friendly game with little in-game competition compared to WoW. Less min/maxing and no “you wiped the group therefore you’re bad”.
It’s a good game for those people who want to enjoy leveling, storyline, and want a small challenge endgame. Loses to WoW in terms of the in-game combat system and endgame material.
Single player RPG’s sound like your thing.
