I’m reserving judgement till we see the new costs. If 20 slots is like 10K and applying a mog is like 2K it might work out that most people would save money eventually. If the 20 slots are still like 200K then we still have a problem and they need to drop the application cost altogether.
I like it so far, and am glad that they made changes based on feedback. Warband unlock would be great, and I see they are working on that as well.
I don’t know if I even have any characters with more than 10 outfits saved. I’m glad for those that do, who will more fully utilize these options.
Please tell me you did not just say that we should grovel at Blizzard’s feet to use the mounts that we’ve spent years doing the grind for without extorting us because if that’s your point of view just please don’t talk to me again because I can’t tolerate that kind of crap
You and me both. I mean as far as my max level characters I don’y transmog them much at all because yeah the price is too high.
Which is why my transmob game is on my XP locked bolt that are in old content so it only costs a couple hundred gold
And it is disgusting to tell me that I have to pay extortion level prices to use stuff that I’ve already done all the work required for.
I can’t even believe we’re having this stinking discussion.
This is way worse than paying property taxes on my house because at least the property taxes on my house go to the schools lol
This is just fake gold and a fake world with fake money and somehow they manage to irritate the crap out of me with it because they want that real world money for that token lol
Yeah this is just the first round of negotiations. And I noticed they only made the changes that actually cater to the big gold players who are going to be buying up 20 slots or 37 slots to begin with
Notice how none of these changes that they came in with all their glorious glory were for the little guy and we’re all supposed to just worship the ground they walk on I guess because they made it a little easier for rich players lol
But what about that new player that doesn’t have any goldl that comes in and hits level 10 and wants to transmog his outfit?
Now instead of 10 gold like he would pay right now he’s going to be paying thousands of gold lol
That just reeks of mooching for token sales
they are doing something. They are doing something in beta. They are doing things no one expected them to do. Just more proof that a lot of folks were overreacting instead of just offering feedback.
The first two so-called free slots should be free entirely. And I mean to transmog our characters as well
Two 100% free slots where no cost is involved and we can use two outfits and change them at any time for no cost
Because a lot of us don’t want to participate in this crappy system to begin with because we’re so annoyed with what Ian and company have done with these prices
So just let two of those slots be totally free to save and use and apply for god’s sake
And then everybody that wants to save 50 outfit slots and have their transmogs switching and swapping and doodling around every place they go every three steps more power to them
They want all those extras… That’s fine they can pay for all the extras but I don’t want all that crap
I just want to use my stinking trans mog that I’ve spent 8 years collecting without being extorted
And when I roll a new character and I hit level 10 I don’t want to be charged thousands of gold to put on a set that cost me 10 gold right now lol

Yeah imagine that working for 8 years to collect something and then being told that you’re going to be extorted to use it. I’m putting you on ignore
I’ve made no secret about that.
And thats fine, i dont share that sentiment though.
I mean the current cost is tolerated because we are getting some gold in the game to pay for it.
But realistically we shouldn’t be paying to use our transmog any more than we’re used to pay our our mount or our toys
And did you see the one of these joker’s literally said that we basically should be bowing down to Blizzard and worshiping the ground that they walk upon because they don’t charge us to use our mounts? Lol lol
I mean yeah I’m being hyperbolic but that was basically the gist of his post
So you spend 8 years farming crap and then Blizzard comes along and says hey we know you did all the work for that stuff but you know we’re going to charge you extortionist fees to use it now..
And then they drop those extortion level fees down a few notches and I guess we’re all supposed to bow down and worship them again
I have a God that I worship. I don’t need another one
I think the cost to assign appearances may be a bit expensive still (around 2,600 gold per full set), especially for people with lots of alts or low level characters, but this is such an improvement (around 6,500 gold previously) that I can’t complain.
I think this is moving in the right direction. I was not expecting so many more Wardrobe slots! That is very cool though and should cover holidays and a lot of RP activities. Reduced costs are always good for those.
What DOES still bother me is the cost to Transmog the item slots. They are reducing it by 60%. Great? The problem is 60% of a huge increase is still an increase.
It costs around 90g for a helm slot on Live.
Beta prices were 444g for the same helm slot on the same char.

Step 1 figure out what 60% of 444g is. Then subtract that gold value from 444g.
- 60% of 444g = 266g.
- 444g - 266g = 178g for the head slot.
It is better, but I am not all in on the costs right now. It is like those sales where they jack the price sky high then advertise a “sale” that is not a sale at all.
