There was one single day of queues on Pagle. Release day of Wrath. I never even saw the queue because I was at work.

I have friends who wanted to come back to WoW to play in Wrath but they can’t because their friends are on a sever which is locked for no apparent reason. You’re losing out on customers because of your idiotic lack of any critical thinking involving the realms.

The people who are left running this game and making these choices would not be employed by a competent employer.

Dear Blizzard,

Can we talk about the absolute tragedy of a server that Angerforge is?

You release 1 fresh PvP Server for prepatch, being Skyfury. Then incompetently release another “fresh” PVP server “Angerforge” several days after wotlk launch realizing your negligent mistake with Skyfury having large queue times in pre-patch. Then you try to fix the queue times on Skyfury by opening up free transfers from Skyfury to Angerforge. After this you do a massive bot ban wave on Skyfury & suddenly the queue times lower from 5-6 hours to 2-15 minutes. (maybe ban the bots before launching a 2nd server?)

The complete lack of forethought is embarrassing.
Angerforge is completely dead. There’s dozens of 80’s paying for transfers everyday (of the 700 who are currently active). You need to open up free transfers to Skyfury as this is the only other pvp fresh wotlk classic server in NA.

You could have likely remedied this problem by launching an EST PvP NA fresh wotlk server for prepatch at the same time as Skyfury, but hey I only thought about it for 5 minutes, you know better right?

Since Blizzard doesn’t seem to want to help people, you can have your friend make a season of mastery character and then transfer over to start a new character.

Thanks for keeping these odiously bad server locks in place far beyond when they were remotely useful.

Blizzard, PLEASE open the realms already, this is ridiculous. Sulfuras nor farelina have had a queue since the first couple of days after wotlk launch. MANY people are waiting to play with their friends, and are unable to, because you are keeping the realms locked. Even if unlocking them makes it have a slight queue, it is STILL BETTER THAN NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY AT ALL. Its actually crazy that we are almost 6 WEEKS past launch and the realms are still locked. The world its self feels dead, on faerlina it is a struggle to even find one or two other people to do dungeons with unless you are level 80. (Which wouldnt be an issue if you just kept LFD in the game as it was supposed to be, but thats beside the point.)

If there is still a human employed and responsible for our classic community. @Blizzard please fire this person(s) and hire a part time vendor with a pulse and at least an ounce of empathy.

what sense does it make to not allow people on a server already to bring the rest of they toons to that server??? we can only play 1 toon at a time making this seem like you guys just dont care about classic despite the amount of paying customers that pay just to play classic. just let me bring the rest of my toons over to the server im already playing on ffs

Agreed about wanting to be able to play with friends. There is at least 3 or 4 friends I’d like to play with but can’t because of this :frowning_face: .

I get that the focus right now is the Dragonflight prepatch and impending launch but that’s not much of an excuse to leave Classic out to dry like this. I was really hoping to have a fun few weeks of raiding Naxx with my friends before we all jumped in to DF but I guess not.

Is it insane that they haven’t even said anything at all concerning this? Or am I the insane one expecting them to address this issue?

All I’m asking is to move my characters to where I am already playing at. I feel incomplete not being able to play characters I’ve put so much time into already, with my friends.

I don’t plan on renewing my subscription, this is not the type of company I want to pay money monthly to.

Please for the love of god let people transfer or boost on Angerfoge. The realm is already dead and way too hard to get anything done.

This is the funniest thread on the entire forums. We tried to warn you to NOT move from your main server and now you’re all stuck on dead and Blizzard has dropped Wrath to full speed on Dragonfail. Queues died in like 2 weeks but you all couldn’t help yourselves. Gotta buy me a tiny violin one day.

I’m happy to leave Mankrik to open a spot for someone to take, if I can go to the server where I already raid on 3 level 80s

It’s just plainly an oversight that we can boost a new character on a locked server, and can’t transfer an alt to a locked server despite us already playing there with an 80 character. What could possibly be the reasoning? You’d be making tons of money in transfers from people that want to bring their alts to their main servers.

The fact that server transfers are still closed on so many servers that have dwindling populations is leading to an exodus of players that just want to transfer to a server they already have other character’s on, or a server where their friends are playing on. Blizzard would literally be making money charging people for character transfers while also increasing subscription retention rates, but instead they leave server transfers closed and make no effort to listen to the community’s concerns. Trying to voice your concerns to Blizzard about this issue is like yelling at a brick wall, your concerns are not making it to anyone that matters ultimately. Reading through the forums it seems many are in the same boat, if they don’t open up server transfer soon, why continue playing the game and paying for the subscription. If only someone could make Blizzard realize how much money they are missing out on, then maybe they would go ahead and open up server transfers, but at this point, it seems Blizzard will just continue to do the opposite of whatever the community is rallying for.

I recommend everyone on this thread submit a ticket to open paid transfers and unlock servers via the in-game ticketing system. While there will be a delayed response. At least Blizzard support is responding to these tickets, which means SOMEONE is reading them. This is more than I can say for this thread (which I believe Blizzard has completely given up on).

TL;DR. For a longer read and added context on Blizzard supports response… This is a response from Blizzard support regarding character restoration on Grobb and character transfer to Grobb. Net- A level 8 character was deleted on Grobb to reclaim the name. As a result, this locked the server for any character creation (even though there was a character present prior to lock). The ask to Blizzard support was to 1) restore the charter to allow character creation on Grobb for the account, or 2) open paid transfers to transfer a new character. This was blizzard supports response to my friend and to myself.

Note: it took blizzard over two weeks to respond to our first tickets. It has now been over a week since we responded to these tickets – we are still waiting a follow up response from Blizzard support.

As much as we’d like to help out with the character restoration, the Realm Lock is unable to be bypassed even by us Game Masters, as we informed previously, which means we will have to wait for the restriction on the realm to be lifted.

I completely agree that a form of warning should be added so players have a heads up before deleting a character on these realms, and I will relay this information internally.

Sorry for any confusion with the locked realms.

Once a realm is locked, there’s not an option to make or undelete characters on it, or transfer to it. There’s no way to bypass that I’m afraid, it’s an intended restriction

It’s not the intention for realms to remain locked permanently though, once population of the realms returns to more reasonable numbers, the realm will be unlocked. We don’t have a timeframe for when this will happen unfortunately, it will depend on what current players on the realm decide to do.

I hope what I’ve said is clear and makes sense, even if it wasn’t what you were hoping.
