Has there been any blue posts addressing why we can’t transfer our characters to servers where we have server slots already taken up? Why hold my characters I worked so hard on hostage just to make me start fresh on an established server? Would be nice to get the characters I want to play over before launch instead of fighting three hour queues.

So you force a lock down on transfers to higher population servers. What are the lower population servers to do? You won’t include the dungeon finder tool for folks. So these individuals are queued for hours.
So much for the faithful “wrath” experience. You stripped it down because a few people cried. 3.x - when ICC rolled out, so did the dungeon finder. This patch was the final patch prior to cataclysm, if i’m not mistaken?
Do the game right, add the dungeon finder with the battle groups. It’s not like there are as many servers as there were back in 2009/2010. It will resolve a lot of the need to transfer. Grouping up is a real problem on the low-pop servers.
Even the people complaining about the RDF to begin with, won’t after a bit. It was never any detriment to the gaming experience. And you can still do it the old school way if you preferred.
and if they do have a problem with dungeon finder…just dont use it. go do your /lfm in trade and leave the rest of us alone.

So literally zero useful communication with just 7 days to go till release. Guilds, friends, even family groups are stuck split across servers, and Blizzard is seemingly fine with this immediately preceding one of the most likely expansions. It baffles the mind.

I have a small group of friends that were even willing to take a transfer till we found out our only option was a different type server (Old Blanchy).
Faerlina’s only PvP server included in the free transfer is Erankis… which is also locked so it’s not like that even helps if we want to play with friends starting toons.

Too little, too late.
After the Grob queues, we re-rolled on Skyfury. After the Skyfury queues, we begged to transfer anywhere.
Some of my gaming community started to re-roll on Maladath, some said they are just not re-rolling a second time. At this point the whole experience and excitement to play is just soured. Everyone just went back to other games.
You lost players that you didn’t have to, because you did your job poorly. Period, end of story.

Are transfers, in my case, from Sulfuras to Whitemain ever going to reopen? I can see maybe blocking new character creation, but if you are already established on the server with characters, what’s the harm in allowing consolidation? It’s still one person, one account on the server…

Can we get any updates/info on when transfers will open to the new realms please? In my case, transferring to Eranikus from Sulfuras. Only got a week till release, and there’s still plenty of guilds and groups of friends stuck across 2-3+ different servers with everything that’s happened.
It feels like shhkittles to throw away multiple characters with 100’s of hours of work put into them. Not just by me either, but by the guildies that helped in raid over the past 3 years to gear everyones characters as well as we have.
Missing all of pre-patch has been bad enough. Missing launch is probably the nail in the coffin. And WOTLK is what I’ve been looking forward to the most over the last few years. Just feels terrible.

Please! is it possible to get an ETA when server transfers to the locked servers will become available again? I have all but one of my characters on Grobbulus but I’m unable to get the character I’m planning on making my new main onto the server. We are in need of transfers for those of us with pre-boost level 70’s on these Locked Realms.

Instead of making a new server and preserving the fresh starters you throw us under the bus. The blizzard staff can collectively shove it.

Hey so instead of being able to transfer to Faerlina as you have closed transfers without any notice, I’ve paid you guys more money due to your f’up to boost a character where I have none of my accomplishments, gear, gold, professions just to play with my friends and guild. Not sure why I couldn’t just transfer my main over for the same result but you decided this was the way you were going to do things so there you go.
If you want to apologize you can refund me the difference between a boost and char transfer and then refund me the 6k gold my friends and guild mates gave me to get my new character started.
Feels bad man. Big middle finger to you guys just like you gave me with your decision to close transfers without any notice or regard for the player base and just leaving me to deal with it.

Renewed subscription to find myself on a dead server…Earthfury. Please give free transfers out of Earthfury or merge the realm entirely. It would be nice to experience the WOTLK expansion…

Please open up paid transfers to Sulfuras for alliance, which is underrepresented. I want to leave my dead server (earthfury) to play with my friends before launch, otherwise I’m marooned on this wasteland. Are you really that concerned to let people on dead servers pay to move to a server with the underrepresented faction? We can’t be talking about too many players here.
