Toxicity Mega Thread

PvPer did it with the first response to this thread., sorry.

How is it not true? You’re never forced into RP, ever. You can literally avoid it, forever. You are however, forced into PvP even without warmode.

You also never get in game rewards for RPing, ever.

You also don’t have a RP tournament for money.

As previously stated the reason why PvPers get a bad rap is because they do stuff like what you do and make fun of others even when it doesn’t gain them anything. As Aeryna pointed out, one can grief an RPer with PvP, one cannot grief a PvPer with RP.

The amount of times I’ve had people off-server playing around on my server with zero interest in RP bashing RPers and trying to ruin an RP is high especially from what used to be PvP servers like Sargeras. Sargeras is known as a highly ‘elitist’ and in general ‘toxic’ server.

This is the hive mind that vehemently believes this is the crapiest game ever made, correct?

I think E.T. for the Atari and Superman 64 are still strong contenders.

Then again, Mr. Glowy Fingers and Clark never charged a sub fee.

That’s not what virtue signaling means.

Yes it is, unless you’re trying to say what the other person did is also not virtue signaling in which case you’re just kinda making your previous point moot

Instead of feeding the OP, just report for trolling and move on

That poster never made the case they were morally superior. Only that they were harassed by Toxic RPers. Something you are perpetuating in this thread.

To be fair, haven’t you ever seen The Godfather? Or watched the news? Funerals are a great way to be sure your enemies are all in one place and distracted. I personally don’t do much PVP but I do get the tactical significance.

Punisher did it better. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can’t, because there’s a limited number of flags per 24 hours.

Their awful attitudes, the way they treated other players, and the sadistic glee out of their preferred activity ruining the experiences of others. It’s digital sadism.

Okay. You have people with attitudes like this in any mode. And I am also very skeptical of what exactly you mean by treated badly by other players since griefing is often used in a very lose way. Do keep in mind also that there are many people who RP some very dark and questionable kinds of RP stories.

Except it totally is. It’s literally the reason I got off Maelstrom. If it wasn’t, I’d still be there. Server transfers are expensive when you add them up.

It is literally impossible to grief a PvPer with RP. Unless someday they add a “Spectator Mode” to arenas and battlegrounds.

Fortunately, War Mode now helps.

I am not going to argue this part anymore. I told you the truth and you are unwilling to accept it. In regards to warmode. If you were on an RP realm already warmode literally makes no difference.

By defending myself from a PvPer that says “RPers are bad”? They said Add RPers to the list of toxic people. Making them toxic. GG on not knowing what you’re talking about, as usual.

OH PLEASE. What happened? Did an RPer /lick you to death until it literally triggered a PC death and you had to corpse run back?

War Made actually makes a world of difference. Night and day difference.

Previously, if you wanted to be left alone during your activity you had no choice. “You rolled on a PvP server, you knew the consequences.” or “PvP happened on a PvP server”.

Even if you LIKED PvP, you couldn’t take a day off. There were no breaks. You couldn’t opt out. It was there. Always. For everything. If you were in the world you were a target.

With War Mode, if I am sick and tired of my World Quest being camped, or if I want that guildmate funeral unmolested, I can turn the PvP off.

I have no clue how you can sit there and say it literally makes no difference.

I actually did. I said that I left due the fact there was an over negative attitude towards pvp and those who do it. Similar how some of the people have responded in this thread. Over time, it began to make me feel unwelcome left a bad taste and impression on the overall community of that place. I want to be around those with similar interests and those who aren’t bashing the kind of way I like enjoying the game. I know many of these claims they make are exaggerated and simply false.

You are twisting around what I am saying. I never said RPers are bad. I love to RP and I RP myself. Again. Just look at my mog and guild name. I also have a pretty in depth backstory for my character. I am saying that RPers can be quite toxic.

Yeah, why people roll on RP servers is to not be made unwelcome by PvPers; weird isn’t it? Go for plenty of RP events on Sargeras in major cities and see how much grief you get, I wonder.

Then there’s also, you started it in this thread by bashing RPers and saying they’re toxic.

I didn’t shell out real life money to server transfer over “simply false”.

It’s usually harassment, blacklisting, trash talking a person/guild in public chats despite that person being on your Ignore list… that sort of thing.

Oh dear, the thing that happens on literally every server? Whoa must be RPers! /s

Those all sound like very reportable offenses.
