A lot of people are already hitting 60 so yeah, enjoy getting 60 then 1 sot by all the 60 purple epic players.
You may think it is dumb, but it is perfectly acceptable to at least have a main with a score for those who run alts. Itâs no longer the start of the expansion where no one has a score, nor is it the start of the patch where you only have last seasons score, by now if someone does not have a score for either a main or last season than they are portrayed as being new and therefore having no experience in the dungeon.
Taking an M0 or less geared team with no experience into M0 is akin to taking an M10 geared team into an M10 with no experience, it can go horribly wrong and as much as the group leader is allowed to vet the players however they like, you can also choose which leader you want to join based on their score.
You have it go play it.
390 wasnât even good for BoD, it was passable normal raid level gear and currently worse than EP LFR or M0.
This is what I really hate, you see players before classic and players even now yelling about things they have no idea about. And given they are still yelling about it tells me they have never played it when it was live, nor are they playing it now.
Need we remind you OP, you could take an entire raid through MC and end up with less than 1 new piece of gear per person even if you share the loot evenly amongst everyone.
Honestly OP how would you feel if you finished a raid, old or current, and walked away with not even one new piece of gear for your effort? And considering there was no achievements back than like there is now, hell I donât even think there were any achievements at all itâs been so long, you could end up downing Rag and not even be able to prove it.
I have around 200 people on my friends list (donât ask me why⊠I just do). Not a single one of them is 60⊠Theyâre all in the 10-40 range⊠If you have relevant data to indicate that the vast majority of the classic playerbase is already 60 and farming MC then present it.
Spouting conjecture is⊠boring.
You just stated why you can not build a score and pretty much help my arguments. This is why i just find it wrong. It promotes people into buying. Instead of finding friends and building from there. A MO should never need a IO score or require one. That the entry level were you learn things. It like raiding back in day. You started at lowest and built way up. Well that the way i was taught. Who know how they do stuff now days. It so weird and convoluted it is beyond normal. That most people op out of talking because people make it hard when it really simple. So what if dying. If dying bother you that much in a video game. Then there a whole new problem there. Cause i have spent months on boss with my raid team back in day. We just laughed, took breaks and jammed out.
Like most things in life IMO the right answer usually settles somewhere in the middle of two extremes.
Why even build IO? So you can run higher keys to most likely get nothing? Seems like a vicious cycle of complete BS. The only way to win in WOW is not to play.
If you are finding groups that the leader wants an IO score for an M0, go and find a group leader that does not want an IO score.
I have yet to play my DK this season, last season though I got a 1,165.3 DPS score and a 1,120 tank score. By far not the best, but also showing that I am good enough to both tank and DPS a +10 key, I also pugged, a lot.
Itâs possible, you just donât want to do it, because you can also start your own M0 run and deal with it yourself like I did to get to a higher score on my DK. Stop being lazy, stop being negative, stop trying to force players to take you into their runs, itâs their key, itâs their run, they can do anything they like, just the same that you and everybody else can.
Spoken truly like someone who never runs high keys. But you run keys so you should know, when you pass a key you get a higher chance at loot since more loot drops, the better +chest you run the better chance at loot drops.
If you are bad and only run keys with others and never your own and never bother pushing to finish in time or better than you will have less chances at loot and that is your own fault.
Push hard, Try to +2 chest a +15 and than you will see some good loot come.
Kinda glad the game isnât just âraid or dieâ now. I mostly PvP, and I abhor raiding, and with PvP having no vendors Iâm glad I can at least do M+ and get gear. Plus I find M+ fun shockingly.
Game was pretty awful when you had to raid to get gear and PvP tbh. And as many have pointed out above, you wonât get 440ish ilvl in a few hours.
You do not need a key for mythic o. What are you going to do run a heroic for a mythic keystone zero. If read my post i tried and they asking for IO. Stop being obtuse and read for change. That or keep trying i guess. I want people to communicate. That not being lazy. You trying to get people just to get a IO score. That being lazy. As it requires less effort.
If you read my post you would notice how I said start your own group or find a group that is not asking for IO and stop trying to force players to take those with no IO.
Because it is entirely up to the person who is making the group on what they want to do to start a group and as I noted before, if someones fresh alt wants to start farming fresh gear it is entirely fine if they want to ask for IO, be it on the character you are asking to join or on a main.
It has NOTHING to do with ensuring your character is geared enough to pass the dungeon, it is entirely about seeing that you who want to join the dungeon knows the dungeon, and if you have no IO on any of your characters at this point in the expansion than it is 100% proof you have no experience in running keys, therefore no experience in pushing for time in a competitive environment.
I never once specifically stated you must have an IO score, I noted it is up to the person making the key on what they want and up to the person looking for keys to find one that is not asking for IO scores, or, again, like I have said 1000 times, MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN GROUP, communicate with your own people, why rely on others to accept you under your requirements? Itâs not your group.
If you want to join someones group you have to deal with whatever they are asking for. Boo hoo that you donât get into groups, not everyone does.
And I will reiterate again, I have over 1K IO score on my DK last season on both tank and DPS, it can be done, so stop procrastinating and get it done like the rest of us by starting low and working high either by dealing with the requirements of the group leader or making your own key.
EDIT: After looking at your IO page I can confirm this:
- You have no IO score at all, nothing from S1, S2 or S3 on this or any other character as there is nothing else linked to this profile.
- Every item you have is emissary level or lower, so either emissary, warfront or LFR at best
- This character does not even have the R3 crucible and is still sitting at R1 raid essence, that tells me you donât even run normal raids.
- You have no previous raid experience AT ALL, not just BfA, but 100% of every raid prior to BfA has not even been downed once on this character
This all tells me your character is like 2 months old and here you are complaining no one wants to group with you, not only your attitude is bad, but the pure fact you are a brand new player means a lot of players will not group with you.
My priest alt is a higher iLVL than you with more essences and current expansion raid experience, my DK who has not been touched since BoD has a higher iLVL than you, by rogue has farmed almost 2000 mana pearls, enough to get the best benthic items per slot with socket and fully upgrade them AND an AZ piece per slot fully upgraded.
Go farm some mana pearls, go start your own group, go run some old raids, go do something other than complain people wonât take you into their groups, itâs sad and pitiful you come here with a brand new character and yell and scream âWHY WONâT THEY TAKE MEâ without even knowing WHY they are asking for IO scores this late in the expansion.
Everyone should be able to get good gear. A large middle class is good. Itâs the Great gear that should be difficult.
I just donât like people with great gear complaining about other people having good gear. Itâs like they canât stand it when the lowly players have fun without their consent.
Legion had a good fix for this. They gave just as much loot out but they did it thru the mission table. So no one else saw it happening. The BFA system shows others getting loot thru the warfronts and world quests and somehow it angers others.
You know why this is? Try spending months in a raid only for that gear to be obsolete by the next patch, like, 100% completely useless.
Uldir @ heroic is 370 iLVL - 8.1 WQâs and an assortment of other options⊠370 iLVL.
BoD @ heroic is 400 iLVL - 8.2 WQâs and assortment⊠400 iLVL.
My DK who raided in BoD started 8.2 at 417 iLVL was at the same iLVL as my rogue 2 weeks into 8.2 with very minimal prior raids being done, all I needed was to farm WQâs and outdoor solo options to get it.
Now imagine running mythic raids only to find before the next raid (during the next patch) that Blizzards catch up system meant everyone with very little effort is all of a sudden at the same or very close iLVL by doing solo content. It completely invalidates all prior raiding that has been done and makes you think twice about even doing it.
And no, we are not going to raid for the sake of raiding because we like it, that is the same as telling someone to go do WQâs for fun because they like it with no reward being offered.
They need to make the prior raids mythic gear still useful in the next patch. It gets to the point that you say âOK, the next patch is on the PTR, I can stop raiding as any gear I get now will not be needed soonâ.
Masterful Cherry picking!! Bravo. You completely flew past the point I was trying to make!
The Beloved Legion Expac gave me Mythic gear all the time, It was actually thru the follower quests! It was super easy to obtain but guess what it wasnât announced. That made people somehow feel better about it, WHY because they didnât see it. WoD did it too! Been happening for quite a while. THE ONLY reason itâs angering people now is because everyone can see it happening!
And you people seem to always go past the point I am trying to make. I wasnât talking specifically about mythic gear, I am trying to make a point how gear is worthless overall from patch to patch.
Forget about Legion and WoD, you only need to look back as far as 8.1.5 and realise gearing has gone down the drain. It has nothing to do with where it was obtained, but the fact now that a simple PATCH, I am not talking about an entire expansion, but a simple patch within an expansion makes everything prior to it pointless.
Even if you look at 8.1 > 8.1.5, that simply change meant WQ gear was pushed up in iLVL and made a lot of the prior gear gains worthless.
I couldnât care where you got your so called fancy mythic gear from, last patch mythic gear at 415 iLVL is the same iLVL as this patchâs normal raid gear. NORMAL, not even heroic. You can run normal raids that take little to no effort to finish and be in gear the same as those who were running mythic last patch.
At the end of the day I couldnât care less where you got your gear from, but they need to stop making gear so obsolete so fast, itâs part of the reason you get heroic or better quality gear from random sources because in 2 months it will all be replaced anyway.
Iâm going to do an experiment, put my money where my mouth is. Iâm not going to link my latest level 120 character to my main on IO.
I have just finished leveling a melee dps (rogue) with no tank or healer offspec. I have 2 or 3 hours /played at 120, I think Iâm 395 or so item level.
Iâm not gonna link it to my mains account, (Resto Druid, 1700 S2, 1300 S3) at all, and Iâm going to see how hard it is to work my key up to a +10. I donât have a regular group to run with, and no one in my guild really does m+, so Iâm an ideal candidate to get a data set from on the difficulty of breaking into m+ late into the season on a pure dps character.
Iâll post updates as I get them.
Why do people care so much about how other people have fun playing a video game? The majority whom, Iâll add, youâve got a fraction of a percent ever seeing or playing with.
For me this is a no.
I enjoy retail now more due to the various gearing paths.
I think pvp could use a vendor cause getting good gear requires like 2.5k rating it seems. I just want the people i play with regularly to be able to gear around 430 via pvp since they wonât touch pve.
Its this.
Your time spent playing should be rewarded not the opposite.
I can unsubscribe for a year bam
Catch up or my gear is like worse than WQ. That is double headed axe right there. So, I get a catch up if I spend a few more hours hurting others playing more but at the same time my gear is worse than junk when I start to playâŠitâs like playing hard for a year to get epics only for them to turn to grey items to start working to get more epics only to repeat itâŠ
What if I stay subscribed? Oh well your items still degrade and you need to sink hours into the game to give other ppl catch-up.
wait what about ilvl scaling? So, I donât have to do anything? No only to certain ilvl a hidden one you cannot see. So, what is BiS in PvP??? Traits? What scaling and how much? Meh nobody knows.
Itâs ok just enjoy BFA content is funâŠ
Now sit and color little billyâŠ
