Activision said during today’s Q4 financial presentation that World of Warcraft’s “active player community” at the end of 2019, defined as players with monthly or longer subscriptions, was more than double what it was at the end of the second quarter, less than two months prior to the launch of Classic.
Double the subscriptions post Classic Vanilla launch. 1 million is an underestimate.
Also none of this matters, that was 2019, before the boosting crusade, before the Mage boost nerfs, before the WoW token: when the game was bustling with life.
Now? We’re in retail hell.
So you read the articles and realize that there are no numbers posted cause blizzard hasn’t posted sub numbers in a very long time and that your numbers are made up. And then quickly change the subject to game like retail game bad. You could be however right 1 million could be an underestimate or maybe an overestimate we do not know for sure. But that was never the argument, the whole point was to show the numbers which you kept claiming were 1 million new subs with 2 million separate character accounts.
God the mage boost nerf was amazing. One of the few changes I loved and supported

Your brain is broken, we have ways to find out Blizzards sub numbers and always have. If estimates were around 3 mil and they announce subs have doubled then so do estimates.
