Even if you are right and it is a legion. Wow will still continue to prosper whether it’s retail refugees or classic andies keeping the game a float. That’s how it is and that’s how it will be.
Tbh strictly honest with you. Im the last of my OG guild still even around. Half of em quit over the boosting crusade, I stuck around cus I had fond memories of TBC, when they killed mage boosting one of my best in game friends quit as that was his main source of income. After this WoW token? I’m just giving up on the progression servers. I have no doubt unlimited boosts and store mounts are coming with cata. I took my GDKP gold and got a year free subscription for retail for raiding/arena play only and cancelled my D4 preorder. I’m not even excited for fresh anymore cus my friends who wanted to do HC fresh are playing turtle instead now cus the token.
This is like the 6th time Blizzard has hit us and I’m done with the abusive relationship 
Sorry that is your situation, hope you can find a game that suits you best really do. Never fun when stuff like that happens and a game company keeps making decisions that you do not like. Personally i am addicted and frankly don’t care about decisions due to the addiction which you can make fun of me all you would like. To me the core of wow is wow regardless of what version and if i want to play i’ll play (i know a lot of people do not feel this way). Luckily i found a guild of like minded individuals as well as lots of family that feel the same way.
