I imagine that the people who -are- getting the shot is helping as well by reducing the overall strain on hospitals. From what I gathered one of the more deadly aspects of covid is how much it can overwhelm hospitals.
Not really. Covid isnāt coming to the hospitals. Thereās not actually a test for Delta either.
But it isnāt, and while yes, hospitals do know how to better deal with COVID now, your healthcare system is complete trash and you only have a limited number of hospital beds. Delta results in more hospitalizations, so as more people flock to hospitals because they get COVID, that overwhelms the healthcare system and it results in people not getting the treatment they need.
I see your point, and will just say. Desperation it does terrible things to a person.
And Florida is following the scienceā¦ where masks donāt prevent hospitalizations and death.
Source?
again, source?
My limited knowledge on how virusās spread and work which is only gained from family who are health care providers. I just wish people would of allowed us to go into full lockdown for around 3-4 months at the start of this with no nonsense. It should of blown over by that time period.
When a nasty virus hits a nursing home it can wipe them out if they donāt separate the populace, and go into lockdown. It can be rough too, because some people not fully with it forget whats happening or donāt understand so they roam. It can cause the virus to last for a long time wiping out many of the residents. However when a successful lockdown is employed that number is greatly decreased and most generally only the first infected are lost.
Unbelievable.
Iām not saying its a fact. Did I phrase it as such? I apologize. This is just something I believe would happen due to what I have heard from family members that dealt with other virusās spreading threw their workplace.
You can literally not have an entire country go into 3-4 month strict lockdown.
You can, it just wouldnāt be cheap and would likely require martial law.
Although probably would of been cheaper then the measures we did take.
These are opinions from news sourcesā¦
Over a virus with a 99% survival rate LOL
Which if infecting everyone which it could given that its a novel virus translates to just over 3million deaths. More then most wars.
Yoooooooooooo. I hope you feel better, my dude.
Covid is NOT fun. I had it earlier in the first few months of it, before we actually knew Covid had hit the states. I was down for the freakinā count. Hope you feel better soon.
No, theyāre not.
The first is an article from Bloomberg which has multiple sources, it is not an opinion piece.
The second is from the Lancet, which is the worldās oldest and best known medical journal that is peer-reviewed on a weekly basis.
You wanted sources, I gave you sources. Donāt be the guy that asks for sources and then immediately attempts to invalidate them the moment you get them.
Or not as there are asymptomatic cases, even in 70+ year oldsā¦
Bloomberg is an opinion piece.
still no actual data
Asymptomatic people are included in that 99% Survival rate you quoted, which Iām not even sure if that is the real survival rate.
However if 1% is survivers in a population of 300 million people. You are looking at 3 million deaths.
If a country threatend to take 3 million American lives, would we not take military action?
