Today, automation. Tomorrow, boosting?

Ppl buy gold and boosts since vanilla this inst new

nerfed gold drops ? I dont even try to farm gold and I have 2m o.o

Blizzard will never ban gold boosting! They have to support the top end mythic raiders!

I love the excuses you’re finding. But what about my uncle’s grandfather’s friend’s cousin’s sister’s son who I helped because of a genuine way and he gifted me gold?

Blizzard does not ban people like you.

Blizzard bans anyone advertising runs for gold. They know better than you to differentiate.

The real issue is, it’s borderline impossible to ban boosting

There are so many super easy work around to everyone’s “ideas” on how to combat it, so until a magical way shows up that won’t hurt innocent players as well, y’all may as well get used to it

alright they no longer say boosts, instead they say they’re selling something, boosts are still everywhere

More rampant gold buying from top guilds as they use boosting to fund the massive costs of running a high end raiding guild

how do you know if is a payed carry or not?

Simple. If someone reports them like how Real Money boosters are being reported, they get stomped. :stuck_out_tongue:

The same way Blizzard knows if it was real money or not: When they get reported.

“I don’t like player X so I’m going to get everyone to report him for boosting”

Now he’s temp banned as they investigate the account, cuz that will take time, and he loses access to the game cuz of it

You just added an easy way to grief people

Like I said, Blizzard knows 10000 times better than you in the way they handle bans. You’re coming up with excuses which don’t exist.

Blizzard is not like you: Oh me see report me ban huehehehe

who will report them ? this makes 0 sense

Who are reporting Real Money boosters?

Your post makes no sense.

I don’t see carries going away no matter how hard Blizz tries, so the best move is probably to regulate them via a dedicated carry finder that handles the exchange of gold so at the very least RMT boosts don’t slip through the cracks as easily.

Have you never played Blizzard games before cuz mass reporting innocent people has happened multiple times in the past

Hell, several Overwatch “pros” were temp banned cuz people didn’t like then so they just spam mass reports and their useless automated system temp bans them as it waits for an employee to review it

I’m not defending boosting, I’m just showing you how insanely difficult it is to remove it without hurting innocent players as well, unless you just hate boosting so much you don’t care about other people in which case that’s just bad on you

you tell me.

your sayng that all boost should be banned I just dont know how they can enforce the rule

It does ruin the spirit of the game. People trying to learn or perhaps just tired from real life having to pay people for gold to get stuff done is ridiculous. It is a video game.
Sure they can try to meet friends and join a guild that happen to play on their schedule. Easier said then done.
The trade chat is overrun with gold service spammers and we know that they are really looking for money. One way or another.

This is also a valid compromise but pushing away the carries into their own specific category if Blizzard decides to regulate it.

Bro do you feel sorry for people being reported for Real Money transactions if they are false?

Then are you saying just because you found a excuse in a random nook and corner Blizzard should stop banning RMT?

Please. These are weak excuses.

You tell me:

It silences/squelches, not bans

It feels a lot like an extension of mobile lootbox culture where it’s the norm to light copious amounts of money on fire to skip to the part where you have a powerful character. Yeah boosting has always existed but it wasn’t even a tiny fraction as popular as it’s become in the past couple of expansions.

I said they cant how do you prove the carry was paid ? if it was simple they would have banned a long time ago

Tokens and blizzard coming out and saying it’s ok have caused the surge.
