Today, automation. Tomorrow, boosting?

Based on the activity in LFG, probably more than half the players are buying boosts. Blizzard did get a 7% increase in revenue from somewhere. lol

So how will you ban it in a way that will actually work?

1 month ban for first offense

3 month ban for second offense

6 month ban for third offense

1 year ban and it doubles

EZ

I mean it’s been fine since EQ launched 22 years ago.

What changed today?

You didn’t say how that will ban it, you just want the honor system and have people report others they think are boosting, or are you going to put theoretical checks in place

Please explain how it will be done

So your solution is to ban people for using their gold to get ahead in a video game?

Better delete the auction house then. Bought a high ilvl weapon off the AH? That’s not fair not everyone can afford that, BANNED!

You don’t need to be a physics major to understand how it will be banned.

Blizzard will ban anyone selling boosts for gold in the same way they do for real life money.

Yep ban boosters. It’s not the same as auction house.

just because its banned doesnt mean is gone …

It literally is. You’re paying gold to gain an advantage in some way.

“Nah I’m just helping a friend gear up his alt, my gametime was going to expire soon so he loaned me gold to buy a wow token”

Well can’t ban them then

So unless you actually have a way to actually control and ban people, you’re just yelling nothing

Selling items in a game which YOU got is not the same as selling the method in which you got.

Try again.

Don’t worry. Let Blizzard do their job if they decide to ban. :stuck_out_tongue:

If you are truly innocent, you will be unbanned.

these are not the ones selling for gold and try using LFGspamfilter

Got it, you have 0 idea how it should be done and just want Blizzard to carpet ban people that get reported

That will totally not be abused like every other report system they’ve done

Good job!

Interesting how others have picked up on your staunch defense of this.

Let’s give it another try:

  • Raids, Mythic+ and PvP carries have to be banned.

Everything else is fair game.

How does that sound? Let’s test your resolve.

It’s literally the same. Saying “try again” because you refuse reality doesn’t make you right.

If I obtained a ilvl high enough to run people through content then I should be allowed to do it and also should be allowed to charge them in game currency for it.

The only issue with boosting is when it happens in arena because it can negatively effects other players experiences. Boosting everywhere else is fine.

Let me see what you think of this:

Why aren’t I allowed to help my friend catch up in the game?

He was missing for a few weeks so we just wanted to carry him through raids/mythics/PvP to gear him up

Good job, you hurt the playerbase again

Some friend you are taking advantage of his helplessness and charging gold :stuck_out_tongue:

He’s simply giving me gold to buy a wow token so my gametime doesn’t expire as a way of saying thanks, he was always better at gold making than me

Well, can’t ban people for that

Like I said the only thing that should be corrected is boosting in pvp because it can negatively effect another players experience.

If someone else boosts in mythic+ and raids it has no effect on you whatsoever.
