Today, automation. Tomorrow, boosting?

Nice ad hominem. So your words are just air in the end.

I don’t have to prove anything to you /shrug

If nothing else to me, at least when I see wts I know to hit the report button in group finder as opposed to trying to figure out whether someones cat had a seizure on their keyboard as they were trying to make a plaguefall key or not.

You do understand that people have been multi boxing since Vanilla for fun and it still is being destroyed for no good reason?

Neither was multi boxing.

Times Change. They can do it anytime they want.

there’s an add on that blocks all that crap.

TBF they never came out and said MBoxing with tools is a-ok and won’t get you banned, they never really could without acknowledging the programs.

They have said selling runs for gold is a-ok, just recently (within the last 3-4 years), but not in LFG and not if you create an account JUST to advertise (which is also a new thing)

Well those aren’t the same thing. Multi boxing is using other software so you gain an unfair advantage, it’s literally cheating lol. You have one dude playing as 10 characters simultaneously, that ain’t right man.

Boosts are just people that are good at the game running other people through content for gold. Everything boosters do is done within the confines of the game.

Man I guess I am just too old. Like I said in another thread, running a group of players has been a part of RPGs since the D&D RPGs in the 80s. It’s how RPG games work. People have been m,ultiboxing in games like WoW since EQ launched (where you needed more than 1 person to level).

In a co-op game there is no cheating or getting ahead. Maybe that my problem, I still think of WoW ads a co-op game instead of a competitive you vs me game where if you get something it means I lose. I liked it better when it was you and I group up against the game and if you got something, you got stronger, but so did our group so it was better for everyone.

Maybe it just jealousy. I really don’t get the idea “it’s cheating”… SMH

What is automation please?

I mean there is nothing wrong with multiple players teaming up but one person controlling multiple players simultaneously with one keyboard is cheating in this game lol.

Yeah this game is co-op as in cooperative. As in you cooperate with other players. If it’s just you running around as 10+ characters that’s not cooperative because it’s just you lol.

You see what I’m saying?

Not automation, mirroring

I see no negative aspect of banning boosting for gold/money in any form.

Do it.

“Pureness?” It’s literally a bunch of lines of code, my guy.

How is it always casual players complaining about boosting and think it’s the reason they can’t do anything?

No, it has nothing to do with the fact you put little to no effort into progressing, it’s the boosters fault

I’m terrible at the game and got KSM/aotc, so anyone should be able to do it

Selling boost is a way small guilds have to buy consumables and help with repair bills. Is just another way to make gold, is really no difference to selling ore or herbs.

No it doesn’t.

No it isn’t.

Nope.

You’ve never come across the types of gamers that romanticize gaming?

Back in Vanilla though, there was no rating, and nodes could only be mined by one player. That’s nowhere near the effect that a multibot has now in retail. They single handedly tank the gathering market.

Since there’s no problem, let’s ban it :stuck_out_tongue:

Pros:

  • PvP will be fair again (in terms of skilled players gearing not the class meta LOL)
  • No more ez gold for “hardcore players”. If you’re “hardcore” then git gud and farm gold like everyone else.
  • No more trivializing hard to get achieves like KSM or Twisting Corridors by paying to win.

Cons:

  • Nope, nothing here :stuck_out_tongue:
