To Tinker H8ters

Tinkers use mech suits and robots. They’re a tech class, advanced tech. Mekkatorque used a freeze gun in SOO and froze a room full of Iron Horde.

Only thing melee about a Tinker would be if they have a mech tank spec.

Check out Tinker abilities in WC3 and HoTs. They’re gadgets and ranged, or in the face with their robot suit. I haven’t played GW2…kind of sounds like Engineer in Wildstar. I mean, Blizz could make them with turrets and flamethrowers (don’t think I’ve seen them use nets or grenades, have seen them use mines).

WoW is half steampunk. With no steampunk class.

Considering EVERYONE can be an engineer, I don’t think it’s too far off.

Anyone can tinker, it’s just not a class lol. (in WoW, anyway.)

And all without actually having tinkers in the game, it is almost like they are unnecessary. Honestly, I don’t have an issue with them they just are not a concept I would play. Maybe that makes me selfless but so be it. It is no different then asking for tinkers over a class someone else wants…

And for the love of god, unless you are waking up for a nap and about to enjoy a nice juice box and some string cheese you should never use “H8ters”.

Just reminded me of this awesome video

The difference between engineer and a Tinker class is alchemy vs Rogue.

Everyone can’t be a Tinker. There’s literally two racial leaders that are Tinkers.

And DH had to steal abilities from warlock just to make up two specs while only having two races that can be them. Talk about unnecessary to the game.

…a game with major fantasy themes has a large portion of people that don’t want a tech class. Isn’t this just common sense? Sure warcraft has some tech themes as well but the reality of the situation is most people aren’t drawn into world of warcraft because they are fans of steampunk or something.

Not sure you got the memo since WC2 that the Warcaft franchise is as much sci fi as it is fantasy…

We go to other planets and have space ships lol

I’m fairly sure the largest class in the game, population-wise, is hunter lol.

Can’t really verify anymore since all the census websites no longer work, but that was the case for many years.

That’s a tech class right there, arguably WoW’s only.

Although, fairly sure most people play Hunter just for the pets.

I would prefer a magic focused class over something I personally consider lame. Some people may get upset at this fact but there ain’t room for the both of us cause we only get a class every 6+ years.

Hunter isn’t really a tech class though. They use nature magic. As you pointed out, they have pets. Tinkers don’t need pets or magic. They use tech.

Anyway, I’m not going to convince anyone here. Thanks for the debate.

I like tinkers, and would certainly play one.

However, I think Blizzard is extremely unlikely to make them. At least now.

As-is, class balance is a nightmare, and Dracthyr are rumored to have a 3rd spec possibly in the works. We don’t know yet.

Folks are also asking for Demon Hunters for other races, Necromancers (cloth, non DKs that raise skeletons like KT) and so on, and so forth.

People are asking Blizzard for tinkers too I guess, I just dunno, at least for the time being.

You’re right. They probably won’t ever make them. They’re a class for mainly the small races. They hate Gnome and Goblins. Year 18, still no high def xpac opening cgi of a Gnome or Goblin lmao

I mean there are many small races, Dwarf, Gnome, Vulpera, Goblin

And dwarves are LOVED

It’s just not that appealing to me I guess… I don’t hate the idea… I just don’t care.

Well you know the saying, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it… bomb the crap out of it! ,

It’s all in the narrative. As I listed in a previous post

  • If we went underground it’s entirely reasonable, potentially, to run into and use the aid of sort of tech/Tinker class, utilizing tech to aid in exploration, delving into Azeroth to fight the fight there.

  • If we went into space again, Tinkers, with the aid of knowledge learned from BFA azerite and SL brokers, alongside the already present Draenei crystal crafts, could be a huge boon in protecting all from the harsh alien world of space/the void.

  • If we go sail off to lands unknown, after the discoveries and advancements that BfA azerite lead to, the Tinkers of BfA would certainly invest themselves in the endeavor for the opportunity/possibility/potential new land and resources could bring.

Just saying, there’s plenty of possibilities.

PS. That’s part of creating traffic mah friend, thanks for stopping by.

And out of those 4 you named, only Dwarf has received opening game/xpac cgi (i love dwarves). The devs despise gnome, goblin, vulpera. Have you seen Mechagnome customization? It’s a joke. Goblins have like one face that slightly changes.

The name is stupid. That is reason enough.

But do you want more?
The entire concept has already been used in different classes and professions… So to me they’re not even vaguely interesting as a concept.

Luckily for you I don’t make the rules.

Make it like FFXIV’s Machinist job and it would work.

Lmao. Your class is from the 8th century. Talk about used and uninteresting.

It’s not my fault its in the game.

And my interest in tinkers is not dependent upon it existing… Sorry but they just don’t interest me
