I looked up the patches and it seems there was a bit of an overlap from cross realm Bgs and the honor system. Drums of war was added August 22 2006. The honor system was revamped with the before the storm patch December 5th 2006. As you can see the current system we have with cross realm bgs and ranking was only live in vanilla for a little over three months.
Maybe just add a change to the queue system so they can queue against other premades?
Eliminates the ones upset with the premades all day long.
Doesn’t get rid of the MMO aspect of premade PvP.
Premades can actually have a fight instead of face rolling pugs.
What bg are most people referring to when they are having issues facing premades? I’ve come to understand that WSG is the go-to for premades. Quick games.
This has already been proven false, the fact we have “classic” in itself, the fact that there are patches and patch notes and fixes applied, proves the very core of what you are rambling on, is incorrect.
yes proven false by all the new content they are working on for this 15 year old game OH WAIT no, they have a small team to keep the lights on, not to develop content or matchmaking systems.
welcome to reality
this is classic
if you dont like classic, cool, so dont play classic
there’s no issue. if you dont like classic, dont play classic.
Right but it wasn’t the alliance posters who were complaining on the forums. It was much more from the horde. The alliance players were complaining that when they didn’t premade they usually lost, which is why most of them were finding premades.
If you note a lot of those complaints weren’t about being able to premade but were instead that some people were abusing the right-click report feature.
this is intended.
and “too often” is just your opinion
maybe try to stop playing a team based multiplayer game by yourself, or make new friends…either way there’s no issue.
if you dont like classic, dont play classic. you wont be missed.
This doesn’t appear to be accurate, and is certainly not reflected in the forum posts I linked, which do emphasize the point I was making, which was that as far as I recall, it was Alliance players who were complaining about being mass reported AFK if they did not belong to the premades.
Right, two separate issues. The problem wasn’t with being able to premade, it was about hostile people abusing the right-click report system. That happened even when it wasn’t a premade, you could say something unpopular like “lets attack x” and you would get reported out of the BG.
Yes, some premades did abuse this feature but it wasn’t a premade problem. It was a bad feature.
Same thing with twinks. Many people make a twink to be able to dominate non-twinks, even if they claim it’s not so. If matchmaking made it so it was only twink vs twink then oh what howling you’d see!
