So Blizzard “only” needs to balance them between all classes and specs? No problem, they haven’t been able to anything close to this yet, but I am sure this time will be different.

Right. If Blizz hadn’t used up all their benefit of the doubt over the last 3 expansions, people would be going into this more positively
They got all those conduits and soul binds to balance as well, on top of legendaries too. Booooy they’re in for a fun time this expansion lol. OOH They also added dungeon buffs for each Covenant lol. It’s like they want to make more work for themselves.
Imagine if instead of all these bloated systems that need to be balanced we got like 3 dungeons per patch. That’d be sick.

No, you just need to make the low number higher and the high number lower. Its not that hard.
If number tweeks are not enough, then all you need to do is do number tweeks for specific specs, or change some other thing. It is really not that hard.

If that was true Blizz wouldn’t have spent 2 expansions rolling back the stuff they couldn’t balance before launch

The most common request I’ve seen (besides easy swap which still keeps all that stuff bundled together) would be making the class abilities a new talent row. Pretty far from create your own and completely in line with the existing system for classes

Which would actually makes RP sense, since we are actively helping all 4 of them. Nothing about them should be locked. Everything should be open. They should have been handled as reps.

I’m asking for Covenants to be unlocked. I’m not asking to have Venthyr’s Order Hall ability, Necro’s Class ability, Night Fae’s Soulbinds/Conduits at once.
I’m fine with them being a package deal, so long as I can easily swap between the different covenants as needed for content, spec or prog.
It’s kinda funny, each faction actually has it’s own regular rep associated with them.
So you can be exalted with the Wild Hunt, and have the Necrolords send you over to Ardenweald every day to do some dailies for em, but the Night Fae still won’t let you in their secret clubhouse.
If imbalanced = no, else = balanced.

Point taken. I can only speak to me but when it comes time to choose I’ll have to decide which class I think is more tuned with which character. And if they want to build it to the spec and not the class I’ll figure away around it or I won’t use the the ability. But that works for me cause my alts don’t do group content. But I will even do the same on my main. We can only do what we think is the best for us.

You’re talking about a permanent fixture (classes) vs a temporary borrowed power system that will be deleted at the end of ONE expansion. It’s not like the story is impacted by your covenant choice. It’s restriction for the sake of restriction. You’re FOR this? How can any logical thinking person be for this system?
