To the Horde stuck in queue

i dont think anyone expected there to be a 60:1 queue time ratio, and i think anyone who says they knew it would be that bad is being disingenuous.

It’s actually a game design problem that allows players to create this situation.

It’s like giving a toddler a gun and wondering why it didn’t work out.

Why would you think that?

Look at retail’s trend since WoD.
Why wouldn’t that be worse in a new launch of Classic WoW?

I think you need a reality check. People said it - over and over and over and you just didn’t want to believe it. Calling people disingenuous because they knew what was happening borders on crazy.

Most Horde are looking for ways to maximize honor and the win.
Yes, we can win/lose a 10-12min rush game and get 250 honor (at most) for a loss assuming we’ve capped a few bunkers and killed bal, or we can prolong the game and nearly guarantee a win and 450 honor minimum.

I was trapped in AV all weekend and I’m not joking when I say I have 180 tokens (started with 10) and I lost 2 AV’s all weekend. My longest game was just over 30mins and it was a loss, most games were 22-24 minutes, some of my games were 11-13 minutes.

On average I was getting 500~ per 22min win, sometimes nearly 700 honor if we managed every objective.

Guaranteeing 500~ in 20minutes is better than rolling the dice and getting anywhere from 100-250 in a 12min loss if we let alliance rush Drekk and kill him with 2 towers up, something they’ve been trying to do nearly every game I’ve been in this weekend.

maybe because people got tired of alliance just chilling in towns showing off their purpz instead of going out and fighting horde. Or queue up for some bgs.

Another example why people just hate the alliance bg attitude. “let them win, so we can move on to the next game”. Horde have that as well, but it is so few and far in-between games. Its not as annoying. God, how I hated to AV on alliance side because games would end up being 25v40.

Your calculations don’t seem to take into account how this effects the overall.

Games like this are painful as alliance because most of your team doesn’t know how to respond or doesn’t care. They are spread out, many of them afk. Most of your skirmishes are 7 vs 10 or worse. There is less and less incentive to queue up. Less alliance queueing up means longer and longer queue times for horde.

Your honor per hour calculations also fail to account for your queue times. 12 min games vs 20-30 min games? what does it matter the honor per hour is barely different. And even less if you account for 1 hour or more in queue. Playing fast 10-15 min games, taking bal and 2-4 towers, not backcapping, and trying to get van down first, consistently WILL result in alliance queueing up MUCH more. If you did this queue times would go down to 20-30 min, doubling or better your games per hour. And you would consistently get a lot more honor per hour even if you lost every game.
