If you don’t want grind rep(which takes roughly 2-3 weeks) just don’t do it. You don’t need flying to play this game, 90% of the content is indoor and accecable by flight paths.
I never got pathfinder completed and i don’t care
Find a friend with a 2 seater, or a druid.
Gets done faster that way.
Pathfinder isnt even hard to do, which is what I find funny.
Its basically just exploring the zones fully, and getting rep to revered. Thats something that you will just be passively doing as you play, anyways.
As somebody that didn’t play WoD or Legion, and only started part way through BFA and now totally behind… MEH to the rep grinds. Doing 3 pathfinders back to back on top of all the current content? People must really love their rep grinds, because that all just gets old.
It’s simply not worth the time invenstment, and when shadowlands comes out, I simply will not play in WoD, Legion, or BFA zones.
right? So far this is the first xpac I don’t have it yet, but I will get it whenever. I cannot fathom people leaving the game because they have to wait for flying to unlock. Such a stupid reason to leave a game. How much is y’alls time worth that a couple extra minutes of ground time here and there is enough to make you quit a game you’ve played for years.
Plus they made it clear in Legion it wasn’t going anywhere, so can we at least stop acting surprised? Every day I see 100 posts about pathfinder, and those posts accomplish absolutely nothing. Their decision is made, and NOTHING we do or say is ever gonna change that. I don’t like it either, I think it’s stupid, but I care enough about my experience in-game that I gotta let it slide.
Except the people complaining about pathfinder find flying fun in this game.
Good for you for sticking to the ground. You have more self control than the vast majority of anti flying people.
If they spent less time on the forums and more time doing wqs, theyd have it by now.
I’ve also wondered about this. Flying is important, I very much want it in the game… but people get really riled up about flying over solo world content they’re not even engaging in.
Why would you even do that , thats old content that we will never comeback to
After all this time it still proves to be an unpopular decision. Imagine people complaining about things they don’t like…
I don’t get the rush. Flight masters whistle and flight paths get you around almost as fast.
They really need to let players buy flying from older expansions that used Pathfinder with gold on a per-character basis.
Let Players unlock it with Pathfinder account-wide if they want, but once it’s no longer the current expansion, Pathfinder shouldn’t be the only option to get flying for that expansion.
it’s not about self control, it’s about how it’s existed for 5 years now. It’s not going away. End of story, no matter what, that’s been made clear. Sure it’s more fun to fly around, but if that’s what’s keeping you playing, you’re missing out on a whole lot.
Meh. Just here to post in a To people upset over whatever thread. At least you changed the thread title up a little this time. You left out (all) after To lol. Oh and there are these to you could of posted in op—>Refunded Shadowlands, screw Pathfinder Stop hating on Pathfinder . But I guess your spam thread is a few minutes older maybe lol.
I honestly don’t think most people’s problem is with pathfinder itself. I think when someone complains about pathfinder they really mean the time gate.
I have no proof of this and some do legitimately complain about the achievement itself.
I can get behind that. With the shadowlands changes they might.
Keep pathfinder in current expansion, free it up for old stuff.
Flying isn’t just about the time saving. Some of us legit love the feeling of flight and the freedom it brings. I also ride a motorcycle because it produces the closest thing to the feeling of flying while on the ground that you can get. I also love swimming and Vashj’ir is the best zone EVER.
I don’t do that. Why do you think I said I’m skipping WoD, Legion, and BFA content entirely come Shadowlands? Pathfinder serves as a content block for players returning to the game for all intents and purposes because we aren’t willing to slog through all of that old content just for a single function that is available in other expansions.
I have NO IDEA why people are still making Pathfinder a “thing”. It’s been The Way for three expansions now, and is going to be The Way for the next expansion.
Pathfinder was, Pathfinder is, and Pathfinder will be. That’s just the way it is.
So pathfinder is set in stone just like everything in wow is set in stone?
Overall I do enjoy wow but I’ll continue to voice my dislike of the pathfinder time gate. It’s arbitrary and spiteful.
Pathfinder is a good system. I honestly believe that.
I would rather finish all the zone stories, explore the map, and build up my reputations and actually earn something that makes my life easier and more convenient. Not to mention how much gold it would save on a per-character basis if they gave us a flight license equivalent to previous eras.
The crippling and fundamental flaw with this system is the one year waiting period where we cannot do ANYTHING to progress on the achievement. When we complete our achievements, we’ve shown you people that we’ve explored the map and know what’s in it. Let. Us. Fly.
