Or are you really upset you have to explore the new continent, do the story lines and get some rep? Aka, play the game as intended.
Ok, it may take a bit of WQ grinding for the last leg of the rep… but really?
I don’t have a problem with requiring the player to have explored everything, to have completed a certain number of WQs, and rep grinds … aren’t my favorite thing ever, but it’s not too bad. Better than Jumping Puzzle Hell from WoD, or the baffling decision to gate a non-instance feature behind instance content like they did in Legion.
Make it completable in X.1 and I’ll be pretty happy. Waiting for X.2 feels punitive.
I could be wrong but I just don’t think Blizzard wants people to stay up for three days crapping in a bucket hooked to an IV to unlock a NON time gated flying privilege. So they add a time gate IRL.
THAT being said. A YEAR was really really stupid and punishing for BFA, really stupid.
Blizzard only works in extremes. Too fast or too slow. Too weak or too powerful. Too hard or too easy. This has always been their “balance”
Now if Blizzard could learn what A HAPPY MEDIUM means.
if they moved part 2 to X.1 patch, id be happy with that. its still 6 months or so to complete it (well more than enough time), and its not a 1 year wait…
and hopefully, they will stick with how they did BfA, in that part 2 lets you fly in the new zones, instead of making us wait, giving us flying and then 2 weeks later opening a new zone to funnel us all into and say “No sorry, cant fly here”.
otherwise, im fine with everything else to unlock it.
My only issue with the rep grind is how two factions take significantly longer to rep with. That being Tortollian and Azeroth. Tortollian rep is simply insulting since their rep is attained by dumb repetitive mini-games.
“Pathfinder isn’t a problem. It’s just the parts of pathfinder that I don’t like that are a problem.”
Sorry man the whole thing sucks. Waiting a year to be able to fly is dumb I’ll give you that, but watching an immersive world be turned into the pathfinder roller coaster is even worse. Watching a good player base be cut in half by the removal of flight only to have the remnants turn around and start eating up a themepark designed as nothing more than the path to attain flying is just soul crushing.
Pathfinder is living proof of your obedience and domestication. So conditioned you are even willing to attack people that don’t like it.
I’m not attacking, I’m just stating the things I’ve noticed after tons of rant threads about people hating pathfinder only to boil down that they hate the waiting for pathfinder 2.
Also why is it obedience to agree that this system is better than having to buy flying (which would likely be around 10k+ gold) on every character instead of one account-bound achievement that is NOT bordering insane as you seem to describe it.
