ive gone from having a dad bod to a jabba bod. am i still invited?
Definitely.
Hey man, Jabba bod is still cool. Got a pet rancor btw?
I Identify as a dining room table…what would be a good server for me?
The IKEA claimed server would be a good fit for you I think.
naw he chewed on some plastic. hated to see him go . he was a good rancor.
The issue is that the newest one about designating a server was claiming that EVERYONE on Herod was LGBTQA+, and some other things.
Clearly a troll but they simply ignored a proper approach to “designating” a server by simply stating that he welcomes LGBTQA to play on Herod and start a community with him.
That’s actually wrong, no one cared about LGBTQA+, all they cared about was their daily lives and enjoying their day’s. The issue is that this “community” started imposing onto others by demanding them, or things around them reform to their expectations thus resulting in backlash.
They could’ve simply do things like a normal person, ie make meet ups, start online forums, put up posters, and actually start a community. Those that share the same idea’s would naturally join in and it wouldn’t effect those around them at all.
I’d say that people don’t want topic’s related to LGBTQA+ simply because of all the story’s and IRL incidents going.
Ok but real talk.
Are there any gluten free servers? Beacuse I totaly have a gluten sensitivity. Takes a drink of beer
Actually, the first one since realms came out, now deleted because of the responses, was simply asking which one LGBT people were likely to go to. Every post since then has been half troll from that point.
Like saying “Hey all my friends, lets go to this server”? Almost like that’s what the first posts were.
It is when you start imposing your values on others that they start to hate you and your cause… Again, it’s why I find the whole idea of an LGBT server objectionable.
You guys want to know what a truly inclusive and tolerant society is? It’s a society where everyone can joke and laugh with eachother over just about anything. A society where no ideals are imposed on other people, but where people can choose to adopt those ideals if they wish.
Does that mean the rp police have been removed? I had planned on going there but the crazy rules with the threat of being reported made me rethink it.
Dear god, rp police… That sounds like next-level cringe, bruh
It was pretty weird stuff.
I can imagine. Reminds me of those really cringy Garrys Mod servers way back in the day.
Or that laughable Stormwind Guard guild, the one with the drama that tore it apart.
I look at America too.
Then I look at the fact that you’re playing a Human Paladin. Or a Gnome Mage. Or a Tauren Shaman. Or a Troll Druid.
Suddenly I realize: It doesn’t matter what you look like behind the screen or who you choose to sleep with when you’re offline. WoW doesn’t care.
You go off and be the best little Gnome Mage you can be and don’t worry about what people THINK you are behind the screen.
If I worried about that, I’d probably never play again. Fact is, I don’t care what you are behind the screen, as long as you aren’t a complete jerk ON the screen.
Edit: Changed Zandalari Druid to Troll Druid because, Classic.
shakes a fist
Damn you again, Classic.
The problem isn’t letting people do what people do, It’s that people are claiming that this or that server is the (Insert Identification Here) server and that you need to conform to that identification in a manner of speaking. Now a lot of these people are straight up trolls, no two ways around that, but the problem comes from the people who are serious. There is no need for “Special” servers (though the prospect of seeing a server labeled LGBTPVP is a funny one) because no one really cares if you’re this, that, or the other thing because it has nothing to do with them. The only thing that matters is that we’re all here to play a game we love, no need for designations for that.
You literally misread… he said only people who need to due language or avoid streamers… he’s saying he would like to be with LGBT+ players on all servers, instead of them self segregating. Mathematically he just said LGBT+ players are NOT disruptive, but in fact shoehorning people into a limited amount of designatable servers sure will be!
Couldn’t have said it better myself, great post.
If it’s an RP server you’re talking about, totally agree. But outside of that, every WoW server since 2004 has been filled with people talking about politics, real world issues, and as much trolling as they can get in edgewise. Anyone who thinks that everyone leaves their real life at the door, hasn’t read Barrens chat.
How would anyone know what a persons nationality or sexual preference is? There’s no need to share that information in a video game. Keep real life and your characters life separate. Once you bring real life into a video game, you subject yourself to the possible toxicity of the community. WoW is notorious for that, so why risk it?
