I didn’t ask or care if you remember it, people did.
No that’s not how the game is played today, I’m sorry but it just isn’t and you can not change this whether you like it or not. And for the people who DO play the game like this, any changes aren’t going to effect this. Especially not one like dual spec. If you play the game for the social aspects, something like dual spec isn’t going to effect this. And you’re lying to yourself if you suggest it does.
I can’t even understand what you’re attempting to say here. I’m guessing you’re ESL. This was lost in translation.
For pretty much every “QoL” change that has ever been put into the game the past 17 years, there were people who said this^^^ to defend it. So by their logic, retail and Classic WoW should be pretty much the same game right now, right? Because all of these things were optional and had zero effect, right?
I made it that far. I truly wonder if people who say this actually believe that. Obviously that’s complete nonsense, so the question is…are they trolling? Or just have absolutely no ability at logical reasoning and rational thought.
Lol your still gonna have to farm a 2nd gear set to tank or heal.
You cant tank as a prot paladin if you have no tank gear. I’m sorry, but Gear is far more important than spec and I’m suprised you guys didn’t learn this in Vannilla with the fury-warrior tanks people were running in raids lol.
Like lol all dual spec does is help out hybrid classes. It’s completely useless for a pure dps class.
What it boils down to is does said person want TBC or not. To the people who want TBC, it’ll be a problem. To those who don’t, then it won’t be. However, don’t claim to want TBC as it was (in the current state) and want dual spec. That makes no sense. There are some people who are pro dual spec, but just come out and say they don’t want TBC. That’s fine.
I was never a huge fan of TBC begin with. I’m close to quitting already because the xpac feels exactly like it did 15 years ago. Smaller and not as social. To it’s water off my back also.
Wrath was the sub peak, that’s true. Lets do a bit of what I like to call second level thinking. Wrath was when the growth of the game started to hit a plateau. Why is that? That was the height of the game in subs, and probably in public perception with the commercials and all.
So, why did growth slow in Wrath? It could be cause new people stopped joining the game, or it could be that Wrath was the first time in the games history that the amount of people joining and the amount of people leaving were almost equal. Go to the retail forums and ask most people when they started. Many, if not most, of them would say they started during Wrath.
Basically, it’s like Manakeep said. Wrath wasn’t the peak of the game, it was the start of the end. Especially from the point of view of people who came back for Classic or TBC.
I’m going to guess the the vast majority of players aren’t doing this. Maybe the sweatiest 5%? IMO, you should not design your game around what those people are doing.
Why do all these low levels that hate TBC and don’t even play it think they’re entitled to comment on what changes we should or should not have?
Go play Vanilla.
Oh, the irony. The primary argument being used against Dual Spec on this forum is what it will do to the “meta.” The people against Dual Spec will conjure up whatever nonsense they can think of to ensure the people actually playing the game are as unhappy as they are.
They don’t care about it being an RPG. They see the game as a collection of systems that have a specific, optimal way to be interacted with to achieve optimal results. You see it as a world. A place that has it’s own rules and requirements , and your character plays a role in that world.
Realistically though, I’m starting to see that it may just be impossible to have a true RPG experience in a game like this. The game will always become infested with people like the OP who don’t care about the RPG feeling and just want to throw it all out the window for optimization.
Some people like the pvp in this game? I could say the same thing about pve? Pve in this game is garbage. It’s literally the same fight that never changes and you can predict every move before it happens. Pvp you have to react to everything. In pve you are literally playing against a computer with no brain how does anyone feel good about that?
I am not trying to be offensive. Maybe to other ppl but i dont even see how this one is being taken as defensive.
It is a very simple question. You said you think flying “ruined” wow. Ok. Its just an opinion. The more i use flying the more i see that it did take away from the atmoshpere. Kind if. I am still on the fence with flying being good or bad. That is besides the point. If i decided that the game was better without flying, it doesnt mean i hate it. If i felt like it “ruined” wow then i would obviously not play.
So that was my question. If you think it ruined wow, how can you continue to play.
No. I have seen that argument many times. About thw meta. I think it is a very silly argument though.
I think the slippery slope is the most rediculous argument though. If you think you can stop a change by whatever means you think your doing. And the only reason that you are doing it is because of thw slippery slope. Then just wait. If what u r doing can stop a change now, then it would stop any change in the future.
The problem is that there is no guarantee that the slippery slope is inevitable. Its just a maybe.
