LOL literally the only reason they can claim that it’s not abusing the system is because blizzard has given them permission to abuse other players with the system who have done no wrong warranting a kick
If blizzard were tomorrow to change their policy in the matter and say that they don’t condone this behavior then absolutely it would be abusing the system and yet nothing would have changed with the player base who kicks people for no reason
So this is all just a semantics game where they scapegoat blizzard for player behavior
And I’d like to point out again that your “illustrative point” is so far the ONLY “proof” we have that the system can be abused. So what exactly is your position in this debate again?
Exactly I already know who I’m playing with when I’m running a five man dungeon. I assume three or four of them have voted to kick if someone gets kicked. It’s absurd to say that this is going to be a big problem
Personally I want something like that so that I can put that person initiating the kick on ignore so that I don’t get grouped with them again
Well no, because a ban is a very specific thing. It means a permanent account closure. Most of the time it’s used, people actually mean suspension, which is a temporary account level restriction. But neither of these can be applied by players alone.
Well, do you know why that didn’t happen in Wrath? Because there was no automatic backfilling.
Yes, there really isn’t any benefit to knowing who voted which way. You’re out of the group either way, nothing you can do about it.
Stopping me from playing LFG for 30 minutes is an effective temporary ban from content I want to do. It matters not to me that I’m free to pick flowers - my account has been directly actioned against playing how I want.
Like banning me from these forums: I’ll still be able to read them, does that mean I cannot be banned? Or is it understood that I’ll be banned from certain key features I wish to enjoy?
And, like you said, if someone was a nuisance they could be avoided in the future. This is a good thing.
I could avoid playing with them again by ignoring them and leaving if grouped. It’s possible they may show up in a manual group too, such as M+, in which case I could not invite them.
And this is the falsehoods that prove the stalking behavior and the so-called misinformation
What I have said hundreds of times in all of these threads is that I used to years ago click yes because I assumed when I first started playing this game that the kicks were legitimate.
I also said that after I started healing I noticed because I have a few add-ons running that people were getting kicked for no reason whatsoever and I stopped doing that and including literally stopping standing in place until that box disappeared instead of voting at all
If you’re going to bring my name up again try not to be so dishonest about it
The benefit is they can harass the people who kicked them.
It’s fearmongering. Make people too afraid of to kick a toxic person for fear that person will harass them on multiple characters and with their friends.
It has no actual benefit for the player kicked, only makes it easier for them to be toxic.
As evidence, he pushed back on the suggestion that kicking someone should temporarily auto-ignore the kicked person until logout. If you kicked someone, you probably do not want to deal with their nonsense anymore.
Wanting to remove people for whatever reason anonymously is more harmful than right click → ignore.
There wasnt large harassment campaigns that were fostered under the Wrath system where groups had to be manually put together. What you’re describing is actually fearmongering.
You mean like the reason we want battle tag showing in here so we can be harassed when we change alts to get away from the harassment as a blue has said to do?
