Absolutely not. I was there when the deserter debuff didn’t exist for kicks. And it was hell. A thousand times worse than these rare instances of people’s kick complaints.
The only thing that needs to happen is this needs re-implemented. I don’t know why it was removed.
Patch 3.3.5 (2010-06-22): The functionality of the Vote Kick feature in the Dungeon Finder will now behave differently according to a player’s history with the system. Players using the Dungeon Finder who rarely vote to kick players from a group, or rarely abandon groups before a dungeon is complete, will find that the Vote Kick option will have no cooldown. For players who frequently abandon groups or vote to kick other players, the Vote Kick option will be kept on a cooldown. This functionality will adjust itself as a player’s behavior while using the Dungeon Finder changes.

really just need to get them to tweak the timeout.
I doubt anyone is being unjustly kicked more than once a day, so the first exit of the day should be no timeout. That fixes the vast majority of wrongful punishments where someone is kicked for no reason.
Add 15 minutes for the second exit…+15 minutes per additional exit.
Make the timeout Bnet wide so the real trolls cant just alt hop and keep trolling.
Most of the problem is remedied that easily.

So a group of random people from across a region that entered a queue and randomly joined a dungeon together all had the same intentions of vote kicking random people?
Man, that’s something else lol.

Well, I’ve never had poutine but I’ve seen pictures and I have to say it does look good. Huge fan of “chips” n Gravy (I’m British so yes, they’re chips) so adding cheese has to be a win, right?

Wouldn’t a simple solution here be that two people need to initiate a vote kick instead of just one? It’s so easy just to click ‘yeah boot this guy idc’

But how would that stop the roving malice filled kick posses that apparently are hiding around every corner?
That would be quite sufficient.
The kick is necessary and motives are too hard to prove to punish the kickers…too much time investment figuring it out.
REmove the kick entirely is a good route.
The kicked trolls are removed…if they troll again they’ll be kicked again.

If the person is being that bad certainly two players can be willing to initiate the kick.

If the trolls get this thread locked just make another so we can have a serious discussion.
Since you’re such a problem player and most people vote to not play with you I suggest doing follower dungeons.
It is my great hope blizzard will add follower dungeons to all dungeons so problem players like yourself dont need to be rejected/ejected from groups.

most kicks I saw were in content that three good players could easily finish.
We had a tank and a healer both quit one run and us three DPS did the rest of it pretty easily.
When theyre kicking in trivial content, its usually for kicks and spite, not of necessity.

Look, guys, neither in my initial post nor in my subsequent responses did I insult or attack anyone. I have always been and continue to be a respectful person. Yet, just for presenting a problem I’ve experienced, I’ve received a flood of criticism?
Most of these criticisms don’t even address the topic or the suggestions I made. Obviously, a voting system is necessary—for those who go AFK, troll, etc. All I said was that penalizing players with a “Deserter” debuff after being kicked seems unfair, as there’s no control over this.
Not everyone who is kicked has done something deserving of a 30-minute penalty from playing! This system isn’t just unfair to those who don’t deserve it; it also promotes toxicity, as many players knowingly use this mechanic to harm others and continue doing it anyway.
Someone thought I wasn’t a good enough player? 30 minutes without being able to play. Another player didn’t want to play with someone from my server? 30 minutes without being able to play. I did 2% less damage than the “META” dictates? 30 minutes without being able to play. All valid reasons for me to be locked out of playing for 30 minutes, right? What’s next? That I’ll be kicked because someone doesn’t like my cosmetic appearance? Fantastic…
The fact that there’s no control over vote kicks and that players are receiving 30-minute penalties for non-negative reasons is a real issue that can’t be ignored.
Just for sharing my problem or situation—which has also happened to many people I know in my guild—my best friend, who started playing three months ago, has already quit the game. He couldn’t stand being insulted or kicked simply because he didn’t know how to play. And of course, this is totally valid, right? That a new player has no right to play without being insulted?
After seeing this, I’ve started to think about how cruelly people attack others just for presenting their point of view. After being cordial and kind to everyone, I’m now being attacked simply for having a “problem”? Honestly, this is why so many people don’t have the courage to speak up—they’re afraid of being silenced by others!
Now I understand why most people just stay quiet and don’t express their frustrations. And I think most of those attacking me feel offended when I use the term “toxic.” If that’s the case, then perhaps they feel identified with that term, don’t they?

Most people, at least from what I can tell, disagree with the 30 minute debuff. That was a recent addition because Blizzard did a kneejerk reaction to people leaving groups instead of just letting the issue solve itself with Mythic+ opening up.

likely…probably.
that can happen, as can being kicked for your character race, etc…because many dont see the social contract as meaning much as far as interacting with other players but play the game to try to ruin the experience for others.
