Title: A Serious Issue with Dungeon Vote Kick System and Player Toxicity

Disagree with me? Troll.

Agree with me? Not troll. Very intellectual and smart. Based, even.

Why call people you don’t agree with trolls? Why can’t you just say “not reasons some agree with?”

Yes, you can kick for ANY reason. We’ve already established that. What is being stated is that it does not mean some reasons are not clearly idiotic. No intelligent person out there can legit say that no idiotic kicks happen.

If my friends and I kick you for reason “lmao!” for fun… you did nothing wrong. We were in fact, trolling. However, because that’s something hard to “prove”, that’s why Blizzard won’t do anything about it.

I literally could not write a better script if I tried

You have all written off any reason to kick that you don’t agree with as a troll

Then you turn around and say “why can’t it just be a disagreement?”

Maybe you just disagreed with the reason to kick and got outvoted, maybe it wasn’t trolls that kicked that person?

I don’t. I will call people who refuse to read something so they can then pretend it says something entirely different trolls.

That kind of thing goes both ways.

So true. It’s happening so often, I’m done with dungeons. Not to mention, I’m sick of tanks flying off and leaving the party on their own. Enough!

It could. It doesn’t, when you refuse to accept the official statements by Blizzard to instead try to make up your own rules. But in a conversation where you weren’t doing that, it could go both ways.

If it’s happening that often, there may be another reason for it, apart from “trolls”.

What id your problem. Pal? You and your ilk are the problem.

To take it to an extreme level these kinds of people are the reason libertarianism has no real hope as a serious approach to society.

When you fail to define limits and boundaries people will go all the way, come back, then do it again and say “well nobody put up a sign saying not to.”

I’ve literally not seen a vote kick in a dungeon this expansion. If it is happening to you constantly you are the common denominator.

Because with the exception of kicking someone for trolling, nearly all of the reasons given are terrible reasons.

They are reasons. I will give you that, but a reason, regardless of how protected it is by the fine print set forth by Blizzard with the VtK system, can still be bad reasons.

Kicking someone for low DPS in leveling dungeons is a bad reason. Kicking them for being a subpar tank is a bad reason. Leveling content is content in which you have to go out of your way to fail even when someone is performing poorly. It’s foolproof. Kicking someone for any reason beyond them being a troll will forever be a bad-faith reason to kick someone, regardless of how vehemently you defend it.

Though, I will point out that I haven’t called a single person a troll in this thread.

So, to clarify what you’re saying here:

You and your opinion got outvoted, they disagreed with you on what constitutes a valid reason, so you’re calling them a troll for disagreeing.

I don’t see many people saying it’s happening constantly. Simply that it happens and is noticeable.

I haven’t been kicked from a group this expansion, though I’ve had attempts made that failed and that info was passed along to me, but I’ve also yet to vote “yes” on one of the dozens of attempts I’ve seen.

So, to me and in my experience, most kick attempts are for troll purposes. Otherwise I may have at least one “yes” out of the dozens of chances I’ve had.

And, again, if I were removed from the situation and replaced with any random player I could see many of those failed attempts going through.

30 people could tell me that drunk driving is actually cool and based and safe and they’d still be wrong for suggesting it.

Try again.

Haven’t seen anyone get kicked in ages! & I’ve seen some absolutely horrible players.

The thing is that this mentality is why we need clearly defined laws.

Because if you didn’t clearly broadcast that drunk driving was illegal this is the kind of person that would do it and then say “shouldn’t have been on the road” when they hurt someone else.

You give people, gamers especially, any system that can be abused and abuse is going to be the first thing that happens.

Well there’s scientific proof and evidence that demonstrates without much room for doubt that drunk driving is not actually cool and based and safe

And there’s no scientific proof or evidence that would say one way or the other what a valid reason would be

If Forums were here he would point out that you’re doing what’s called a false equivalency, which is a noted fallacy.

Why are you comparing someone not wanting to play with you, with endangering the lives of yourself and other innocent people?

We call them analogies.

We do a bit of analogizing.
