pretty much a given in those cases where it happens like that.
Though we do get some who get kicked a lot who cant seem to connect the dots so much.
What some of us are discussing is the kicks for ‘no reason’ that happen frequently enough to random players who come here to complain about it.
The kick is necessary so we’d like the timeout to be modified…or even removed given it doesnt really punish the real troll much…he’ll just ride it out and do it again.

whats stopping you from playing with friends? i am seriously concerned for those that are being kicked out on a daily from queued dungeons and getting a 30 min debuff every day to the point wherep eople need to make a forum post on it.
i never get kicked

I’m sure I’ve been kicked before.
I’m also sure I went “that’s annoying” and moved on with my life, because it represents such an insignificant portion of my time in WoW.
They need to bring back proving ground requirements to queue for dungeons. Then all the problem players like the OP wont have to worry about being kicked and can stick to follower dungeons like blizzard intended

not you specifically…I mean by just 404ing or locking a thread we wanted to discuss the topic in instead of removing offending posts and doing something to make the ones derailing not want to repeat it again.
Zero evidence they are ever dealt with given they keep doing it.

exactly, ive only ever been kicked a max of 5 times but they’re so insignificant to me to the point where i jut play another game or do something else with my life lol my life isn’t revolved aroundme being voted kicked from a dungeon

Has it occurred to you that the reason things struggle to stay on topic is because every tangent is drawn out by you responding in full to it, rather than ever rounding it back to the topic?
Rigatoni literally talked about the topic of the thread while you were typing this.
I can’t imagine the total number of vote kicks represents even a full % of LFD runs. Maybe LFR is different, I think I do see it more often in raids. But I also run fewer LFRs.

Yeah, I don’t disagree, at least for the first part.
The second… Eeeeh, that’s a question. The common response has been “they can just switch characters”. If someone’s desperate to troll, not an unreasonable suggestion to make it account wide rather than just character.
Might make for an unpleasant debate though, heh.

Speaking of evidence and being on topic. Did you find the spot in the social contract that restricts my ability to remove a player from my group through vote kick for any reason I decide?

The 30 minute debuff wasn’t about trolling, it was because people were leaving after the first boss in a singular dungeon over a singular drop. It was only added in this expansion. Prior, it was 15 minutes and nothing if the first boss was killed. What’s more, people that normally wouldn’t do those dungeons were doing them because Blizzard delayed Mythic+ opening.
Literally this entire situation is Blizzard’s own doing lol.

No, simply bringing up an issue is not going to get a thread closed. There is no “freedom of speech” on private property, so keep that in mind. They do have rules and generally the Mods will sweep up the forum Code of Conduct is broken. Some examples:
- Posting about the same topic when there are already MANY threads on it. That crosses into Spam.
- Using ChatGPT or other similar services to create spammy text walls. Not genuine engagement.
- Users in the thread getting argumentative and making personal attacks. Which certain users here do very very often. Even if the first post were not spam (or otherwise a problem), if a thread turns into mud slinging then the Mods very often lock or delete it.
If you wish to provide direct feedback to the Dev team you can use the in-game feedback tool. That avoids the forums entirely.
You should also read the Blue posts about how the system works and WHY it currently works that way. Those issues need to be taken into account when suggesting changes. Any revised system would need to prevent the issues brought up in the blue posts. Sendryn has some good resources quoted in this post.
Last - Blizzard is not going to FORCE people in the random group finders to play with each other. They are not going to police and oversee every squabble, disagreement, or decision within a dungeon or LFR run. If the majority don’t want to play with someone, they don’t have to. For ANY reason. If someone wants control over who is in the group there are tools to do that - they can make their own group they control.

If they reduce the timeout, make it account wide so the real trolls cant just hop alts and keep trolling, but its reduced to lessen the ‘punishment’ of those who were kicked thru no fault of their own.
Or…remove the timeout entirely…if the tank doesnt want to be there, I dont want him there ruining the run for the rest of us.
