You guys have my post removed because I didn’t want to talk about what Peril was having for dinner.
Moderation Note: I am trying to clean up the thread to get back on track. The only thing that will cause this thread to be closed at this point is this constant back and forth about everything else.
It’s interesting how everyone who disagrees with me 100% assumes that I’m a “problematic” player. I don’t usually offend others, even when they make bad plays. On the contrary, I often help them, talk to them, and if they have questions, I even teach them! I do the complete opposite of what a “problematic” player would do. In all my time in WoW, I have NEVER kicked anyone. I always try to help everyone.
They’re directly assuming that I’m problematic just because I’m talking about unfair vote kicks? Are they claiming that 100% of kicks are justified, that people never act impulsively, out of anger, or for similar reasons? If that were true, Blizzard wouldn’t be starting to ban players who leave Mythics!
The main topic here? It’s about the Group Finder for Normal Dungeons. I’m NOT talking about Heroic or Mythic Dungeons, just Normal Dungeons for levels 10-80.
Some say, “Find friends and don’t use the Group Finder,” but of course, the fact is that not everyone always has friends available to do low-level content. These dungeons are supposed to be for one purpose: progression, not competition.
Under the criteria many are presenting, am I supposed to only quest solo and avoid leveling progression dungeons (NOT Mythics or Heroics) just because some 10-year veteran player can’t handle playing with someone who doesn’t meet their TOP PLAYER PRO META standards?
Yea but if you keep getting kicked its clear evidence that you are a problem player. While we dont have actualy proof and only your word to go by i still stand by you sticking to follower dungeons. As a problem player you wont get kicked from follower dungeons.
in normal circumstances Id say that thats because many players who get kicked a lot are the problem, even if not maliciously so…say a new player who cant keep up being kicked.
These arent normal circumstances because some use the kick to troll players and ruin their game for them. Ive seen it myself many times.
Hurte, I am sorry you were hurt by having a post removed, but I have nothing at all to do with that, nor did Perl that I know of. We don’t have that power. Not at all.
If a post is flagged by other users the forum software will grey it out pending moderator review. It can still be clicked and read. If it was removed, then an actual Blizzard staff member removed it. No penalty yet means it was a gentle reminder not to do whatever it is you did - or it was part of a group of posts removed where yours was not the bad one, but others were removed and it would have made it look like you were talking to yourself.
Both can happen. I get posts swept up in thread cleanups all the time because I replied to a post that was removed and they removed the whole reply chain.
Sure. An isolated situation though, not likely to cause any significant problems I would think…
Already a small number who visit this forum. Probably a much smaller percentage of that are looking to make life miserable and even smaller still willing to pay actual money to push it. If blizzard’s tools are at least reasonable, might be able to cover the multi account angle before it happens.
I didn’t assume you were a problematic player.
Do you expect people to engage with you in good faith when you reply with such broadly dismissive generalities about those who disagree with you with a giant low effort wall of text?
It comes across like you aren’t really interested in a discussion but instead are trying to win an argument through sheer force of will power alone.
once you get to TWW thankfully you might not have to ever group again and can avoid the drama entirely by gearing in delves, assuming youre only going to gear as far as they can take you…which personally for me is more than enough for my game.
I think they are trying to tell you that Blizzard does not require justification for kicks. It does not matter if someone thinks it is justified or not. It does not have to be. The majority can kick a group member for any reason they want. No justification needed. That is how the system works. Blizzard is not going to review every kick to see if it was “justified” or not. That would not be a reasonable use of staff.
If you don’t like playing with people who you feel were kicking too often, put them on ignore and the group finder won’t group you with them again.
I came back 30 seconds later, after first pull (about 2 minutes in) it said “you have been removed from the group” with a deserter debuff and the Tank whispers me and said something along the lines of " Imagine being removed from a TW group at 80 you obscenity "
you know how it is…it only takes the few to ruin things for the masses.
thats a point…we only know about a FEW instances in here…the broader base data might show that these kicks are far more prevalent than some in here want to claim.
We dont know the numbers…I doubt even 1% of 1% of 1% of kicked players even bother coming here to complain about it.
Not true friend i hope the OP finds peace and i openly encourage blizzard to add follower dungeons to all of world of warcraft so problem players like the OP dont have to be vote kicked from groups. I also encourage blizzard to bring back proving grounds so we can greatly reduce the amount of problem players queueing into group dungeons.
I’m already in the most current content, but I think many still haven’t understood that this has been happening with my secondary characters. I’ve been trying to level all classes to max level, and it’s during this process of getting all my characters to max that I’ve encountered this problem more frequently.
Since I’ve been doing dungeons constantly to level up quickly, I’ve noticed this issue more often. And yes, I know that, fortunately, once I finish my goal of having all my characters at max level, I won’t have to deal with this problem anymore. Luckily, I only have one character left to level up to max.
But I bring up this issue for all the players who must be suffering from this without anyone taking their experiences into account and who may not know where to express their concerns.
While kicking you for any reason is not against the rules Huntenei, using profanity is. You would want to right click that line of chat and report it. That captures the name, server, chat channel, time stamp, and chat logs. Then put them on Ignore and let the GMs deal with it. People who talk like that usually end up getting a chat penalty eventually.
