If that were the case, you would’ve also had to have voted to kick your friend. There are protections in place that prevent what you have described.

The game doesn’t even require a reason so displaying a blank or something like random letters or ‘teh sux’ wouldn’t really be any more helpful.
I’ve been playing WoW longer than most people here. I’ve seen kick reasons for “lol”, “idiot”, “lmao”, “loser”, “took my gear”, “ninja”, “lasdjf;laksdjf” that have passed. If someone says those are legit reasons, they are the reason aliens won’t talk to us.
I am not saying those are legit reasons, they are are allowed under the rules of the current policies.
Though I have never seen any of those reasons during the 15 years since Dungeon Finder was introduced.
And how do you know how long someone has been playing?
I’ve run more random dungeons than you and just because those are the reasons entered into the box doesn’t mean there isn’t a legit reason behind the kick
I’ve seen similar to some of them, when it’s obvious to everyone why the kick is happening

You’re right, they are allowed, 100%. That’s the crux of the thread. The fact that idiotic kicks are allowed.
I’ve played since this game came out, there are not a lot of those people left. There are some who claim they are, but you can tell by some of their answers that they weren’t, especially when they say something like an event in expansion 3 happening before 1.

The only one similar I’ve seen was “Needer” back in Cata, and that was someone rolling need on everything.
Thing is Forums, if there is one thing I’ve learnt, done always trust what a text box says. Some people will also use it in a way to confuse everyone. If you think the kick towards the other player is not deserved, vote no. It requires group majority to pass, and hitting no is as easy as hitting yes…
You and I may know that, but many admit they click yes just to get the box off their screen. People will type “idiot” out of anger. So now this person was kicked because someone had an attitude problem and gets a debuff for it.

No, one thing Blizzard does not have a way to do is monitor the reasons put in for the vote-kick. So yes, there is a loophole in regards to the In-Game Code of Conduct and using the VTK. I was going to suggest changing it from text box to buttons, having reasons like:
- Disconnected/AFK
- Playing unfairly
- Other Reason
Somewhere along those lines. But idea is to close that loophole.

Maybe you should be calling for the players to change.
FFXIV does not have this problem anywhere near this game’s magnitude. When you kick someone, you have to select one of the pre-written reasons. They do need a couple more, but having played that game since it came out, I’ve seen very few kicks and only 1 that was inappropriate (a guy who apologized for being slow, said he just returned to the game after a long break and the other 2 in the group kicked him).

its been explained in detail enough, they all know exactly what we’re talking about even if they continue to pretend they dont.
And they all know what we’ve suggested that blizzard could do to remedy the problems…again…even if they pretend they dont know what has been said.

yeah…the one poster last evening I thought might be someones alt playing ignorant, but seemed to be legit after a couple posts.
But the names that have been in these MANY threads, including ones you are exchanging posts with…have been in this discussion long enough to know exactly what we’ve said.
They do what they do just to keep you repeating yourself…its not worth the time and effort…or annoyance.
If I want to be annoyed I’ll call my ex wife…

literally amazed that one of them just admitted this is a problem. Obviously not being sincere given their many other posts to the contrary.
but blizzard cant make players be nice…and IF this base were actually nice, they wouldnt be kicking players who havent dont anything to justify a kick in the first place.
What bliz CAN do is modify the kick and the timeout to lessen the effect on innocent players when they are kicked for nothing they did.
