Titanforging makes difficult content feel POINTLESS

You are missing the point of the thread. Nobody cares what gear you have, this is about harder content not being rewarding. For example, once my guild killed Mythic Opulence about 3 months ago, I haven’t received an upgrade from Mythic. Everything has been a M+ TF or weekly chest. That is now 4 progression bosses I’ve killed with hundreds of wipes and the pieces I’ve received haven’t been better than what I got from M+ WF/TF.

It sucks. You used to kill a progression boss and put all the loot to good use. Now you are lucky if 1/5 drops are actually needed after the first month of Mythic. It isn’t rewarding.

Except you know that M+ is intended to be alternative progression to raiding, so if you’re doing it and getting rewards then crying that Mythic raiding isn’t giving you rewards you have no one to blame but yourself.

How is it not more rewarding when you still have the same statistical odds of a WF or TF out of a mythic+ weekly chest or a drop in a mythic raid? This gearing system isn’t what’s taking potentials out of the pool for harder content. People are angry about professions being gutted, low quality storylines, a switch from a lore rich artifact weapon to some necklace nobody ever heard of. People are less engaged.

And you did the mythic to get that reward from the chest ,right?

And its WAAAAAAAY over rewarding for the difficulty and lack of lockout.

And the no lockout and titanforging go hand in hand with their issues.

Random chances at higher gear + no lockout high gear source…

With no forging mythic+ stops at 400.

In the end having the quality of your gear drop be partially random feels bad.

The M+ reward system is far too rewarding, which is another separate issue. Being able to fish for TF gear 10-12 times per hour and infinite number of times means you will eventually get them if you do enough. Imo a +15 Titanforge should be like a .0000001% chance

That’s alot of farming, why do it?

So you’ve done enough M+, an entirely separate gearing path, to have better items than your raid drops. That’s like saying I ran raid A and didn’t get anything better from Raid B, which drops the same ilevel gear. I dont think a deterministic system will help with that.

Except M+ drops 400 gear and Mythic raids drop 415 gear.

Now,can understand the raid drops are just mind numbing I never get the gear from them at current levels needed to progress upwards. No luck from the rng gods on that for me.

That’s one opinion. I don’t agree. I’m happy with how it is now. And it’s not going away next season and Blizzard hasn’t indicated that they intend to get rid of it so sucks to be you I guess.

No, what sucks is seeing the playerbase dwindle expansion after expansion.

When you can prove that it’s because of this reason I’ll be happy to continue the discussion. Confirmation bias, however, isn’t an argument. It’s the default position of people with shoddy logic.

You really need to learn that the actions of other players DO have an effect on the game for people other than themselves.

Lots of people didn’t like Pandaren when that xpack was coming. Lots of people said “don’t play one then”.

Sure. I can do that. But there’s still Pandaren players running around “my” game. There’s still semi-major Pandaren NPCs occupying the world. They still influence the game, I still have to see them, whether or not I play one.

It’s the same for things like Flight, or the proposed Titanforge toggle, or the hypothetical 415s-for-1g Vendor.

If I choose not to fly, the rest of the world is still flying around me, triggering the countdown on gathering nodes, killing things before I’m there, meeting up at a predetermined location faster than me – forcing them to wait, and creating a PvP disadvantage for me. Therefore, even if I think flight is bad for the game, I fly.

If I were to opt out of the proposed TF toggle, others wouldn’t. Most wouldn’t. They’d still be getting their RNG super-pieces, in some cases invalidating any form of actual progression into the next difficulty or what have you of content. The only thing me not taking advantage of that would do is put me behind my peers, hindering them. Not ideal. Again – NOT a single player game. And beyond that, my gearing process would STILL go faster, because the people who got TF drops would be more likely to be able to trade loot to me in various forms of content.

I didn’t give a reason why, I just said it’s dwindling and it sucks to see. That much is fact.

But players like you don’t care as long as Blizz keeps that slot machine working for you.

And? Are you going to pretend that you made that statement and that it has no bearing on this conversation at all? That you’re prone to randomly spouting things that are completely irrelevant in conversation? No, you’re implying causation exists otherwise there’s simply no reason to make the statement in the first place. Throwing out a salty jab makes the point even more clear.

When did you start seeing the dwindle?

This is what makes you wrong. This is where you stop being a person with an opinion and start being a whiny brat.

This isn’t your game. It’s a shared experience you are participating in. Your opinion on how that experience should play ends at your characters nose.

Yeah, so the obvious solution is to take these things away from everyone to appease the vocal minority. A+ solution.

I mean you don’t care about the game, you just like to argue, just look at your post history. You don’t ever provide any solutions or even act like there is a problem with WoW right now.
