Titanforging makes difficult content feel POINTLESS

Yeah it’s infinitely farmable content that guarantees loot at the end. If you do a +17 or 18 which are pretty easy, you get 6-7 pieces of loot for 5 people in 30 min. Compare that to a Mythic raid boss that can take 100+ pulls to beat that drops 4-5 pieces of loot for 20 people.

What? Lots was released as further progression after KZ. If you didn’t progress beyond KZ you have no one to blame but yourself.

I see no one likes free gift from Blizzard then.

Incorrect. Those people are clearly wrong IF just don’t fly isn’t a valid answer for them.

Again, they don’t get to tell other people how to play so if it’s not their own game play, “which is COMPLETELY within their control,” then it’s them being wrong.

I’m perfectly ok with a deterministic system as long as I can reach the same end state while performing the same activities. And that end state right now is theoretically (or if you believe some posters achieved after week 3) max TF level. My main is only at 393 right now, after how many weeks since the last patch, but I’ll probably reach 400 by the time 8.2 drops. Again, if the cap I can reach is lower I’ll most likely unsub and blizz loses a tiny bit of revenue. They seem to care even if some posters above don’t.

This mentality is stupid.

If Blizzard put a vendor that sold 415 gear for 1 gold would you just tell those wanting. gear progressiom system to just not use it?

I mean it is totally within their control.

This is the mentality for the “optional” ICC and DS buffs.

Why should saving turtles and winning unloseable warfronts, in your mind, provide equal gear to clearing a heroic raid while that raid is still current?

Yes. If what you want is to progress your gear naturally then do so. It’s completely within your control.

Get over yourself if you think your opinion should effect others.

And yet,a fresh 120 can’t get a 425? because they are bond to a gear progression system.

You forgot the part where that world quest item is one of only three that contain your sought-after trait spread. The others being a 1% drop chance off G’hunn and one you’ve been grinding mythic plus out for all expansion

The max level for a reward from 1 WQ would be 370. The odds are pretty astronomical that it would TF to 425. As a matter of fact, I don’t think there are any 55 ilev TFs. I would be kind if I stated your premise was hyperbole. I’m inclined to say that it’s an outright prevarication.

It’s very rare only one to 100 chances for it.As much as I played the expanse I only got it on my healer and trust me I do alot of farming.

Ok but what are the chances it forges to 385 which is on par with Normal Raids and +6 keystones? Should a 20 second, not failable world quest be able to give the same gear as group content with a fairly high failure rate?

So basically the OP is complaining about a 1% chance in his “hypothetical” scenario. Check.

What of it? Emissaries are 395 now.

Are we going off topic or can we stick to the topic of the thread? This is about Titanforging, not emissary rewards, which are their own separate issue.

I’m not arguing the validity of the catchup mechanics blizz implemented, I’m merely stating that they are there and arguing against removal of a system that allows me to progress my own way. I’d be all for a deterministic system as long as it allows me to plink my way to a similar state. If I’m not even at heroic ilevel after 5 months of catchup and whatnot, it’s really not messing with your system too much. Players who do harder content have better gear and got it faster.

Yup,that is a small chance of it.I think this argument is completely useless, since this rate hasn’t increased ,and since the expanse started and it take a long time to even farm them,It a better chance in mythic ,which most maxers head to to farmthem.
Also, they are the same ones they want to bring the game down but in fact, they are making the game better by farming.LOL.

Emissaries that aren’t AZ gear can TF as well but it’s far more statistically likely to WF instead. Regardless, someone else’s gear doesn’t affect me and as a fellow player and human being I would be happy for that person.

Hey look, the same tired arguments over and over and over again that make absolutely no difference.

Neither time gated heroic rewards or forging are going away next season.
