All tank raids can still easily be done.

Obviously you don’t understand. Everyone is replaceable. Plenty of the 15s I’ve done has been with tanks with 0 idea of what’s going on and you carry them because they just walk around. Same with heals. Same with dps. No one’s special.
People don’t seem to grasp that as why I stopped tanking and left mythic early when I realized: “Yeah, this is not going to be my time spent on WoW.”
Essentially, it was like this:
Bad, entitled tank, who, after tanking a couple of heroics, thinks they are some sort of big shot, is a far greater problem than lack of tanks.
Tanking is a difficult job in M+. requires prep work, confidence, and knowledge of what your group is capable of. But most poor tank thinks “hurr durr, i get insta accepted, so i must be some sort of big shot, and its my way or the high way”
I pick up pug tanks frequently. Difference between a poor, arrogant, entitled tank and a sublime, well read, capable tanks are night and day. Whats worse, is that you typically cannot tell strictly from their RIO profile.
RIO Scores come from timing keys. poor tanks can be carried by powerful DPSes, M raiders who on monday night out of desperation accept anyone in tank spec, and carries the run through overwhelming firepower. Resulting in many tanks, even poor tanks, achieving a respectable RIO Score.
Moral of the story? Find the good tanks in the world. Add them to your friend list. and keep on playing with them.
just because you have clicked the tank role when queing for lfr and random dungeons does NOT mean you have any idea what you’re talking about. i have a heart but can i perform surgery on it? can i advise someone else on the health of their heart? yes to both, but it will be a shirt show and you bet when i get flamed for advising someone or acting without any prior knowledge im going to go to the heart forums and have the BEST cry about how hard it is to do heart surgery. its whatever though you thinking you’re the best at wow but its too easy to be high end so you dont is worth the couple mins ive spent knowing you exist

I will be honest, I off-tank and I actually tried main tanking but… Outside of guild runs, it’s so damn boring and stressful at the same time.
It’s like affixes, Boring is always going to be one due to the really boring rotation, a lot of times you are just saving something to use at the right time, but then you have other affixes such as Obnoxious People, like DPS failing at basic mechanics and blaming the tank or Frustrating where everything you plan fails and it feels like it’s entirely your fault or simply retarded runs where people have no idea of what the mechanics are…
You’re using raider io on a character I don’t tank on, nor do I plan to?
What part of, “I quit tanking,” was never clear? The big facts are I quit tanking a good while ago. Made an Arms warrior, focused on it here and there, and mostly hop on for roleplay. If there’s not content that interests me, why am I going to participate in that content?
If you’re looking for a tanking IO out of me, you’re out of luck. I don’t tank on Hydraulics. Nor did I want to progress further in M+ on my tank after 8, due to the nature of Mythic to begin with. Once again. It’s not that I can’t handle the content, it’s that it’s boring. I have zero interest in it. Combine the factors in my opening post with opening a mythic group. I do not -want- to do mythic, nor do I have any interest in doing it further.
Mythic is, and I will say what I have said numerous times (not here).
It’s the same content with pointlessly stupid mechanics that, sometimes, when combined, make certain dungeons near-impossible at higher keys, while in other weeks, you just roll through them like a cotton-candy patch.
Waiting a week because one week had terrible RNG, back in Uldir’s patch, was not fun, nor is that an idea or definition of content. When the mechanics are RNG, it’s not fun. There’s nobody out there saying, “Yeah, these shouldn’t go together,” it just happens. Can I get through it? Most definitely. Do I want to go through it? Most definitely not. I’d just lose out on a week of waiting. Such engagement. Such content. Wow.
You’re asking for evidence in the case that absence of evidence is the evidence of absence that I do not enjoy content. If I do not have the content because I do not want to play it, I will not have the content, now will I? You don’t have to run up to Mythic 10 or 20 to be able to say: “I don’t like this content.”

Okay. This is the part where I’d love to say that most of us tank players don’t have an ego that’s quite this over-inflated, but I’m sure I’d be proven wrong.
One thing that I’d like to point out though, you say you stick to lower level content for the most part. That’s totally fine, play where you want to play. But at that level, the nerfs and buffs that tanks receive through the expansion matter very little, almost to the point where they don’t matter at all. Any tank can do perfectly well there, and that’s coming from a guy who’s playing what’s been one of the worst tanks through most of BFA. I mean if we’re being honest a reasonably geared Havoc DH or plate DPS could do a passable job “tanking” MOST of the content you’re talking about.
The bit about overeager DPS pulling for us, yeah. It sucks. I know. But an interesting fact about it is that it really only happens in lower difficulty content. Every now and then I’ll get a DPS or healer that accidentally moves too close to a pack we were trying to sneak by, but for the most part pulling is left to me because they’ll die if I’m not there to save them.
And another thing about DPS pulling for me, if it does happen then nine times out of ten it’s MY FAULT and it happens because I’m moving too slow for the group. A big part of tanking is measuring the group’s capabilities and resources. Sure I may be completely out of CDs after that last pull, but if my healer has an external and/or a full mana bar and my DPS have been melting things, then CDs or no I need to keep this train moving along.
A reasonably geared havoc DH or plate DPS could pull the entire dungeon on the kind of content he’s talking about.

Moving up to try-hard tier is not fun. I can still do it, have done it, since G’huun was my last move on that. I had my time with that. Got bored of it. 12 hour a day job.
Just missing that thread asking where tanks are, are you? Go look in general. The above reasons are why I quit. If people want more tanks, rectify the problems of why people don’t tank anymore and why it’s hard to find them.
