I’d rather just switch over and tank it myself if you are rolling with THIS attitude.

There is a conditional if.
I think part of the problem is stress and pressure, people play games to relax not feel either of those.
I do want tanks Nerfed PURELY in pvp, last season druid was nuts in arena and cheesy. Although tanks for content not pvp wise, yea give us juicy meat shields.
Yep. Anyone pressing me on my time or my rhythm causes a great deal of annoyance, because they throw off how I stagger my cooldowns. I’d prefer a steady, straight run, over bursts and waits.

. Also, yeah. PVP tanks are a bit bull. Just do what City of Heroes did in the past and have abilities do different things in PVP as opposed to PVE, so, that way you can adjust PVP and PVE separately.
until you were called out for having no experience as a tank and therefore no idea what you were talking about, YOU said you were tanking. you refered to yourself as a tank. you tried to flaunt an instant que time for random heroics because you were a tank. but this post was made BECAUSE you quit tanking?
yeah you know how you said heroics isnt content? the 8 keys that you’ve never done are the same. you dont even have all the affixes at an 8. yeah must suck to not have that luxury

I think what doesn’t help is how long someone would have to grind just to get their gear up to par tank wise.
It’s, honestly, not too long.
Let’s say you’re a fresh 120. Ruin heroics - ilevel 415 really quickly.
Then do your WQs which scale up to 420s, boost it just a bit higher.
Faction WQs from there, which’ll have boosted up to around 420-430ish (including Azerite).
Then go for your cape (or cape first if there’s a lack of dailies providing gear). Then the necklace is so easy to level now, it’s a joke. Grind essences from there.
You’re at 430, no issues. Just recently made a mage and got to 436 in less than a day and a half or so. Tanks have it easier because they can spam-run. DPS queues, man.
But, personally, I burn out at around 5-6 dungeons in a row.
I mean, he’s tanked Mythics, maybe not in a while since we’re not often on the same faction, but yea he’s tanked mythics.
People do not often understand the concept of desiring to do something over the inability to do something. I had my fun with it, tried it out, now, if someone needs a low-mythic run by a tank to gear up, I’ll do it for them, but that’s about it.
I simply don’t enjoy mythic content or the mentality of it. It seems like a hard concept for many to grasp.
i dunno about this stuff man, it’s sounds like you want the tank role it he idolized over everyone else, when you still need all 3 roles for a good party
best thing to do really is just keep up that role bonus for tanks that blizz has, and when shadowlands comes around, hopefully make switching specs from one role to the next easier, without needing a bunch of stuff specific to that role, like essences or azerite traits

Tanks are not gods, neither are dps or healers. It’s group content. Tanks word isn’t law, be open to feedback in all roles. We all suck sometimes. When I tank if someone says what are you doing I ask for what should I do better.
As for if tank leaves I don’t care, every since I hit above 2k io I get invited to most things I queue for on all toons, same with heroic raids which are a joke. Especially as a tank all you do in most raid fights is afk taunt swap. I love how simple it is cause it’s free loot.
Tank nerfs? Literally all tanks are busted right now all every role is busted because corruption.

or stop being a moron on the forums and learn to play the game when someone flames you for not being able to tank heroic dungeons at the end of the expansion

this i can defo get behind, all 3 roles are still important, shouldn’t be a jerk to anyone in the party
it’s a bummer a lot of people don’t have any self control to not flip out at small mistakes, im sure there’d be more tanks and healers if they could

All-blood DK tank raid in Nya’lotha. But I digress.
Most people look at tanks to know all the mechanics, the map of the place, etc. If the group fails, it’s blamed on the tank. Tanks carry a good chunk of the responsibility first with the healer second.
A bad tank (out of two) in a raid can collapse a raid. A bad healer can be carried by up to 2-3 others.
A bad tank can be compensated with a good healer in a dungeon.
A bad healer can be compensated a good tank in a dungeon.
An average tank can’t be compensated with an average healer if they’re over their head. If a DPS is pulling or acting crazy, that’s a group wipe and the tank is blamed.
One good DPS can carry two bad DPS in a dungeon. Tank and healer are the cornerstones, however.
As a healer since Vanilla - this is not true. I rolled a tank, it was fun - until I started doing mythic + - my tank retired at that point because it was not fun.
