In his case, it’s more of a guideline. He can’t force someone to be kind or respectful, but he can make them wait 30 minutes to think about why they’re waiting 30 minutes.

The thing is nobody is saying anything disrespectful to a tank that’s doing their job properly. If anything you’re getting praise heaped on you through most of the run.
People shouldn’t be mean to each other over stuff like this, you’re right. But somebody being mean to you is NOT a reason to hold people’s fun hostage. Especially since, in theory, three of those people are innocent and just want the typing to stop and the next pack to be pulled.

When you’re told your a bad tank, in most cases you are. But when you tank well, you damn well know it because the party always says “wow great tanking haven’t had one in awhile”
We all know saying hey where are you going is not disrespect. I would call that normal communication.

Yeah, because some guy feels that his ego is more important than three people who haven’t done anything getting their key done. Absolutely disgraceful.

And the problem was rectified within days of me showing the math.
Childish people tend to get mad when their toys are taken away. Naturally, not many approved. The forums are filled with them and they like to make happy little echo-chambers.
Stacking corruption isn’t outplaying with skill, it’s outplaying with time spent no-lifing.
Do you? Most tanks pull half of what they can actually take. How do I know? I heal a lot… The same tank that barely times a 15 could have two or three chested it if they knew how to pull properly and watch the healer’s mana consumption.
Most groups are tired of diva tanks now and will just boot you instead, if you’re pulling too slowly, and replace you within two minutes. Did you know that’s the average time to replace a tank in a group?
Did you also know that if you leave before the first boss is killed, YOU will get the 30 minute debuff if you leave or are kicked? Also, did you know that even if you kill the first boss and you leave, you’ll still have to wait 10 min or so to queue again because there’s a timer for that as well?
This is a myth. You can be placed into groups, with people on ignore, in LFD and LFR.

Also who waits 30mins for anything? Can’t remember the last time I waited for more than 10 min for a tank, healer, or GOOD dps. Raid or dungeon

I disagree. With healing mods you can basically just jump around while clicking portraits to cycle through all your spells. Tanks needs to actually look at the mobs on screen.

So those other three people should kick out the disrespectful person. Have a new person queue up and move on. They are the majority. They hold the power to determine if we move forward or we stop. They can kick out the tank if they want to. Easy solution. Disrespectful people should not be tolerated in society or video games.

Even if we are talking about a DPS person being disrespected. It is not OK he should not move forward he should not participate in the group until he gets an apology or they remove him from the group. It’s very simple to be nice to people. It is very unacceptable to be disrespectful to people. It is even worse to be disrespected and act like nothing happened. That is just weak character.

It also likely means they haven’t spent the five minutes watching a youtube video on the fight. There’s a guy I watch who literally covers how to tank every fight in like two minutes.

When people say “LFD,” is that the same as when you que for mythic plus dungeons? Or is it exclusively the dungeons that have the official blizzard que and wait timer thing?
LFD is just the queued content. LFG is both.
