More tank classes doesn’t fix the problem. The outcome is the same - tanks get verbally abused, kicked, criticize them for the smallest off-the-path like accidentally extra pull, dps pull for them, etc. Thats the heart of it all. We got DK-monk-DH 3 in a row new tank classes, and yet we have a tank shortage all the same.
While I acknowledge that tanking can be a tough role, I believe another issue is that tanks are all melee. Give tanks a “ranged” option and you’ll see more people playing the role. One reason I don’t tank is because I prefer ranged specs. A Tinker class could facilitate such a tanking style.
By lore standards? What lore? The necromancer is a Warcraft III unit, different from the Warcraft I units, the Necrolite or the Warlock.
And they are a class, that was gonna be included at the launch of WoW together with the DK, but both got pulled. So no, you wrong on this one too boss.
Gul’dan quite literally created Death Knights … He took the slain warlock souls, threw them into dead human corpses and reanimated the bodies to be functional.
These warlock “Death Knights” were also some of the first necromancers(the ones you’ve been mentioning lmao)that were seen in Warcraft!

The Shadowmoon clan necromancers are also referred to as warlocks, using the void to bind souls and control the undead.

Warlock rituals can cause an upheaval of souls, reanimated corpses and consequentially manifest or summon spirits from the realms of the dead.
Source: Legion, when Gul’dan severed the soul of Illidan from his body.
Additionally:
Fel magic reanimating the dead is hardly anything “new” either, as seen in the Sunwell raid when the residual felblood from the slain Pitlord reanimated Madrigosa into an undead fel-drake.
So there ya have it!
Thanks for asking the question “What lore?” – So we could reinforce what was said earlier.
If Blizzard present warlocks with necromancer skins, it will be a thanks to you indeed
I made a suggestion for a necromancer warlock-skin thread ages back too →
See Mekkatorque, Blackfuse, and Gazlowe. It’s a class, not a profession.
We know this because the Engineering profession contains zero abilities from the Tinker hero from WC3 and HotS. If you notice, WoW’s classes contain multiple abilities from those games.
I looked it up and they apparently need to be within melee range to tank, they just use ranged weapons. So, basically what I said, you’re ranged for like 2 seconds while the things run to you after you pull them then you’re in melee.
