Tinker class = lame

Tinker is another mundane forum suggestion. As you can see they chose the tree mount over all the other cool ones :p. They want Sylvanas dead, they want pristine servers,
insert elf race, sethrak. They want cross factions.

IDK just screams boring to me.

No? I think Bard would be even worse.

Same, it’d be another "pet class’ with putting turrets dow(basically reskinned demonology) and people could get out of range of them and ranged players would have a field day killing you while kiting your mechanical constructs.

No one can agree what a tinker is, and therefor adding it would piss people off because it won’t be exactly what they imagined it to be.

It’s a logical conclusion, Like every quest line, in every expansion, in every zone in every planet always has someone kicking butt in a shredder suit. It only makes sense that players would want in on that.

Even in BFA, when you went on Island expeditions, you would be put against other existing classes, but you’d also have a slight team to go up against a team of Tinkers.

If you think it’s boring, that’s up to you. But it’s definitely a big part of the Warcraft Universe.

Look at the Tinkers in universe. Clearly divided into Tanks, Ranged DPS, and Healer.

Just base it off the Unit in Warcraft 3.
Worked with Death Knights,
Worked with Monks
Worked with Demon Hunters.
Worked with literally every other class. They all have abilities from WC3.

Your argument is pretty clearly wrong if you can just observe patterns.

As much as I’d like necromancers, I don’t think it’ll ever be a thing. Unholy Dks are already the necromancer spec.

More likely we’ll get blood mages at some point. They made it obvious with that one quest (forgot what zone) where you help two blood elf blood mages and I think it involved a demon hunter as well I think. Don’t remember questline too much now, but I do remember that they heavily hinted at blood mages being a thing. And blood mages were a thing in warcraft 3 as well.

This Quest is in the Blasted Lands, and it’s one of my Favorites.

The Problem with Blood Mages, is that All of the Blood Mage abilities from WC3 are already in game.

If you make a Blood Elf Fire mage, You’re damned close to the Blood Mage from WC3. You Drain Mana, Cast aoe flamestrikes, and summon Pheonixes.

This is another reason people want Tinkers, None of their abilities are in game yet.

Oh God the salt would be great!

Not really, they’d do exactly the same thing they did with Demon Hunter, Monk, and DK. They’d just take their abilities from Warcraft 3 and go from there.

Monks: Dodge Attacks, Smash Kegs, Split into 3.

Death Knights: Raise Undead, Buff undead, Shoot Death Coils. Raise an army of the dead.

Demon Hunters: Immolation Aura. Dodge attacks. Turn into a Giant demon.

Tinkers: Build sentires, Use Pocket factories. Have a Mech suit, Fire Missiles.

Tinker
~A mixture of play-styles of Shaman, Monk & Hunter involving mini mechanical bots / turrets. Can be all three roles, Tank, DPS & Healer.

Primary Weapon: Gun or Crossbow (Not Bows)
Armor Type: Mail

:slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah. I feel this way about bard too. Just no reason to bother with it when something cool like Banshee rangers or whatever they are called keeps getting passed over.

Tinkers are unique to the Warcraft universe though.
Shredder suits, Crazy contraptions, Exploding sheep grenades. Literal heal bots?
You don’t see that stuff in other fantasy universes.

Except like. Ratchet and Clank.

I’d like to be able to build turrets and use them on enemies.

I don’t think you do old man.

“An internet meme, more commonly known simply as a meme (/miːm/ MEEM), is a type of meme that is spread via the Internet, often through social media platforms and especially for humorous purposes.” - from the wiki page.

I hate to Agree with someone that’s against Tinkers.

But, Techinically speaking a Meme is any constantly repeated Idea that spreads across a Culture of people.

WoW players are a Culture of people, and Tinkers are a repeated Idea.

Therefore, Tinkers are in fact a meme.

They’d still be a great class.

Yeah. Memes are pictures on the internet depicting funny situations or other jokes.

You can’t take a definition at face value though, general use of the word matters as well.

Say for example I’m at Mc Donalds and ask you to grab me a tube. You’d have full right to look at me like I’m an idiot when I point to the straws.

Well it’s TECHNICALLY correct… Even if it makes you a freaking Psychopath.

Regardless. Tinkers would be a great class, they’d fulfill every role, and they’re already clearly established in universe. I’ll freakin fight on this,

No need to fight me then, I’m 100% in camp tinker.

I just hate the idea of using the word meme to describe popular ideas. Memes are generally jokes, not just whatever is popular.

A necromancer is to a death knight as a priest is to a paladin.
