Bah, should have known, thanks for that tid-bit.
Chef class. Our class leader is Nomi. Our abilities are challenging any boss to learn all rank 3 legion recipes without going insane. Failure to do so results in the boss instantly dying and giving us twice the normal amount of loot.
They would only need one spell, and it kills all players/npc’s freindly or not in the zone; Nomi’s burnt food.
Seems like this could have been posted in one of the other threads. Being its own thread makes it sound like tinker is an announced class and you’re unhappy with it. But really you are just commenting on other threads but creating your own post. Not really needed
Imagine thinking Tinker is boring when people are suggesting dumb things like necromancer and blademaster lol.
I wish. I’d love to see the QQ just because they DARED to add a class that’s loyal to warcraft 3 and exactly like existing classes
Tinker, or if you hate that name, Artificer, would be an amazing class to add to the game, so screw the haters.
-Technology is adaptability. They can fill multiple roles.
-Their technology looks can be varied based on race, giving them lots of cool uniqueness.
-They could fill a role of another gun class and mail class.
-They have a huge background already set in lore.
-Guns, bombs, and turrets = Glorious.
The entire point is that their power is their brain.
Paladins, DHs, Shamans, Priests all borrow power as well BTW. DKs themselves were literally just given their power after they died.
Couldn’t have said this better myself. The whole fantasy of being a Tinker is that your mind is stronger than any force on Azeroth.
To me, that’s the beauty of the class. They’re fighting magic and other forces by using technology.
If the enemy is twice your size, use more gun.
YEEEEEE HAW!
mekkatorgue’s thoughts when he was facing off against the horde champions in zandalar.
The game needs a new caster but not something tossing grenades. That’s just dumb and that’s what engineering is supposed to be anyway.
At this point I think a true necromancer caster looms.
I kinda skipped that part of the game, as I was bored of the expansion by that point, but Mekkastud has the right idea.
I’m extremely doubtful they’d add Necromancer, but I’d never say never.
But no, it’s not dumb. That’s your opinion, but my opinion is that it’s awesome. AOE bombs, area control with turrets, mek-suit tanking. It’s glorious.
Edit: It doesn’t even have to be grenades. That’s an assumption. They could have a frikkin’ flamethrower. A FLAMETHROWER!
I imagined the Tank spec having the Mech suit, and flamethrowers to keep Agro.
Artificier would be an awesome name.
My dream would be we both get tinkers. But Alliance gets the “Artificier” title or spec, and horde gets the “Plague doctor” title or spec name.
Horde would get another spec name for the tech spec, and alliance gets another name for the alchemy spec.
Yes but that power cannot be taken away by breaking their toys
A priest can still rot your mind without a weapon
A dk can still raise the dead
A paladin can still wield the light
A tinker can… Build a new gizmo in a few days??
They’re useless without their trinkets and gizmos is my point. They’re a really smart mind sure, but that does nothing for you if you don’t have outside equipment to protect your feeble body that is useless for fighting, and not even augmented by magic.
They’re a glorified engineer trying to pass as a class
You underestimate a genius, there is always plan b!.. and plan c… and d… and so on…
Yeah, but Tony Stark built his tinker suit in a cave.
You can use your same logic for any other class. Take away the Light, and what is a Paladin? (Happened on Draenor)
Take away magic, and what is a Mage? (Northrend, Blue Dragonflight were doing just that)
Take away weapons and armor, and what is a warrior?
Or a Hunter without a bow?
Every class has tools that you can apply this logic to.
