Hmmm… So you want a cata ascended class then? I guess that is cool, but not my cup of tea. I guess it could have a spec baised on what element they ascend in.

Banshee!!! It’s more of a state of being than a race so it could work. I’d love a possession ability that would be so cool. Maybe weave in some dark ranger abilities and such. Basically merge dark ranger, and banshee. Get another bow wielder. Black arrow that has once again been stolen from hunters can be given to its rightful owner the dark ranger. Even better you could weave some necromancer abilities into dark ranger as well.

So… if tinkers WERE added would they be able to use bows/guns/crossbows? at least in one spec. Cuz we really need more classes to use em.
Still feel like just how they made a melee hunter spec they need to make a ranged rogue spec. Combat becoming outlaw was a radical change but I still feel like assa and shadow are too similar. So merge those specs into a single spec (like surv and mm were). And create a “ranger/dark ranger” spec that would have all the neat things dark rangers bring. Cuz idk if dark ranger is really enough for it’s own class. And they were basically just ranged rogues. Rogues can already equip bows from days pass. Would be nice to be able actually use them once again and we’d be back up to 3 specs that use ranged weapons.
Whatever tinkers do should just be given to engineers.
I’d imagine so, also They can attach all sorts of gizmo’s to it. Maybe one of the class features is being able to “enchant” your ranged weapon with a tech you like kinda like DK’s runeforging.
Countless classes in game are based off of major lore characters. So that is a reason to support it not against it. Death knights are based off Arthas/Lich King. Monks mased off of Chen Stormstout. Hunters based off of Rexxar. Paladins based off Uther (et all). Shaman based off of Thrall. Druid based off of Malfurion. Mage is based off of Jaina. Warlock is based off of Kil’jaedan/Archimonde. Warrior is based off of Magni. Virtually ever class is based off of a major lore NPC. As in this thread there is major lore npcs for Necromancers/Liches and Tinkers.
It is pretty lame imo.
The issue I take with the idea is that none of their power is their own. It’s all from outside devices, gizmos or a mechsuit as some want
Every other classes power is their own. They don’t rely on outside devices (besides maybe a weapon) like a tinker would.
It’s a glorified profession (engineering) trying to be passed off as a fully fledged class when it’s not.
It makes me think of Mecha-torque in the broken shore cinematic with his mech-suit. If he got knocked out of that suit, do you think he could really fight a felguard? No, he’d be dead in 2 seconds
I just really dislike the idea of a class who’s power resides outside the players actual character. It’s boring and reminds me of those robot battle games where it’s just a person in a mech-suit that dies instantly once the suit is destroyed
True, but a sylvannis baised class? I feel it’s too soon for that sort of thing… I dunno, I really don’t like sylvannis. Also, isn’t sylvannis kinda a one off? I don’t think I seen lore where her kinda powers (not the ones the jailor gave her) is used commonly. The dark ranger portion, maybe, but the others I dunno.
Could’ve said the same thing about Death Knight.
And there are plenty of banshee and dark rangers. Cata even brought the first male dark ranger (and more followed) Nathanos. I don’t really know how liking a characters personality has to do with a class. Arthas was an arrogant self obsessed jerk who charged into darkness without a care in the world but dk is one of my fav classes.
Yeah, but we had Dk’s before arthas, and others where raised with him, or paladins converted to DK’s, they have numbers for it to be given the ok.
Dark rangers kinda melded into hunters really, and if we do get a banshee class, we’d first need to have a race on the alliance that is undead. Any suggestions on that?
A Firelord is what Ragnaros is. Just a Fire elemental with extra pazzaz.
It can empower its auto attacks with flame, summon a magma spewing volcano, and spawn a Lava-spawn, that lava spawn can deal damage do create more lava spawns, so on and so forth.
Similar to a Night Elf Warden.
Cool as it is, Flametongue weapon and Liquid magma totem both exist on Shaman.
General assumption is that Tinkers would have 3 specs. Tank Healer and Ranged DPS.
If it’s a ranged DPS that uses ranged weapons, that means it could use Bows, guns, and Crossbows. Since they are all mechanically exactly the same.
