Timewalking Dungeons Updated - October 28

With hotfixes that are now live, we have made the following adjustment to Timewalking dungeons.

Timewalking

  • Adjusted all dungeon enemy health and damage to better scale with player power.

Our intention with these dungeons is for their difficulty to fall between the difficulty of a Normal and a Heroic dungeon at level 80.

Our goal with changes like this is to provide a fairer, engaging challenge for all players while keeping to the principle that better gear makes you more powerful.

We’ll continue to monitor dungeon difficulty to ensure Timewalking presents a satisfying level of challenge for all players.

Thanks for the update. Does it mean it will be easier or harder than it is right now?
I’ve had it easier with my level 80 toons, but it was a lot easier before the scaling changes.

If the intent is to make these easier than Heroics at level 80, sounds like it’s a big nerf to make Timewalking not as looney as it was. If so, probably a step in the right direction.

EDIT: Forget everything I said. Clearly I thought Blizz was going in the 180 direction here.

How about you stop making things more difficult and tuning content that no one expects to be engaging and fix Blackrock Depths, timewalking dungeons are a means to level alts and to complete weekly chores, this is neither helpful or wanted by anyone especially for the terrible gear that drops from them.

It is remarkable how desperate you guys are to throw away all of your Dragonflight good will with a stream of horrible decision making and feedback ignoring so far this expansion and especially with the anniversary patch.

How bout you scale up past legendaries to be useful in TW dungeons again, or would that be too much fun in-game?

Funny. I guess they did explode kind of hard but I feel like they could’ve just been left.

This sounds like ilvl scaling in instances. If that’s what it is, BOO! Instances should never scale with ilvl.

Love this change. I play this game for fun, not for daily chores or pixel loots. Right now, time walking dungeons are stupidly easy and boring, and can probably be soloed with blue gear. The game shouldn’t have two extremes, extremely easy dungeons and extremely hard dungeons, with no between.

No one asked for these changes, i have no idea why you guys want to make retail as tedious as possible. No one wants timewalking to take longer if anything it was already too slow.

I just dont see why you all cant ever make good changes.

If you want timewalking dungeons to take longer how about making all bosses required instead of breaking scaling over and over?

It will be based on your ilvl.

Not good…

So the more powerful you are in Timewalking, the more powerful your enemies will be.
But you’ll still get pre-heroic rewards…

They increased the difficulty but left the drops like that.

Might as well remove tw dungeons at this rate and just let people queue for the regular heroics they give 580 over the trash and laughable 541 - 548? from dungeons

so you are making them slower and worse - although I was only able to stomach doing two of them last week. Guess it doesn’t matter if I do zero this week.
