Do 5 dungeons for the free 597 piece. Do your Delves for easy 597/603 gear. Do World Quests to farm Valorstones to upgrade gear.

Basically. And then certain people, like the poster between your comment and mine above, who might live under a bridge and certainly are not an alliance race currently come in with their attacks on others for giving feedback on the forums that’s needed to try and keep WoW from going the route of SWTOR.
Maybe that person has shorted MSFT or something and is hoping for a price drop?
This is a problem with the expansion as a whole. Normal dungeons were only a viable gateway to Heroic dungeons for one week. Once the season began they forgot a path forward for people going exclusively in dungeons.
• Yes, there are weekly caches with Veteran gear. RNG can be an issue there since you only get two per week.
• Yes, world quests can have Explorer and Adventurer gear. And while there might be more opportunities than the weekly caches, RNG is even more of a factor.
• Yes, delves exist. Bountiful 5s give Veteran gear, offering another upgrade path; but this is a path distinct from dungeons, as is apparent in the Vault.
A way through just dungeons should exist. Normals need to give Explorer gear. That way even if the gear starts off too low to get you into Heroics, you can engage in the upgrade system to earn your way to Heroics.
As for TW, last expansion they gave Adventurer track gear, but that started before Heroics were pushed into being the new equivalent of Mythic 0. Timewalking realistically is tuned more like a Normal dungeon, so I think it would be fair to put it, too, on the Explorer track. But maybe give it 4/8 to maintain that TW events are special, bonus events.

or just dont bother doing the TW dungeons and do the raid then you end up with 1 champ gear + 1 heroic gear + any champ gear you get in black temple / whatever TW raid it is. i dont even bother with the dungeons anymore

Not only that but unless i missed something it’s the same ilvl for heroics and lfr which genuinely just feels worse. I got my alt to 80 and I’m just shy of 600 ilvl and barely touched heroics between delves, lfr, and a m+ so it almost makes heroics obsolete.
The queue is so long because no sane tank or healer at level 80 is going to want to run old dungeons for 554 gear.
You do 5 timewalking runs and You’ll get a champion ilvl 597 piece of gear …
why would I do that when I can do the raid and get a 610 piece AND the 597 box too on top of maybe even more 597 gear?

Oooooor you run the raid, kill 5 bosses AND get the raid quest done in one go.
This the option sane people take vs the dungeon route.

No one runs TW at max level for the gear. It’s just for the weekly cache.
Gearing a fresh character is the easiest it’s ever been.

Yep, same here. Maybe the time warped badges change has something to do with it idk. Folks may feel like not worth doing them?
