Timewalking dropping 554 ilvl at level 80... this is a problem

And the gear cannot even be upgraded.

Yeah that needs to be like at least 580+ at this point for anyone to waste time doing them

I wouldn’t go quite that far (wouldn’t complain either)…but it should be 571 or higher, and needs to be AT LEAST 558 or higher to be remotely reasonable.

At minimum should be 567 so you can gear up to Heroics. Super weird its this low.

The “heroic” gap is really interesting.

They really want folks out in the world doing stuff me thinks.

I’d be okay with 567, but would tolerate 558 b/c that’s technically upgradable to at least 567.

This 554 in both timewalking and normal dungeons is a stupid move on Blizzard’s part. Like dumb enough that if I didn’t have an active subscription, I wouldn’t buy one to play the game stupid.

Same as reg delves so that’s not good

The heroic gap makes no sense, they didn’t increase the difficulty

this tbh 580 is on the low side this week

I came here to post this. That is really low. Only reason to do them is the weekly quest.

Not even that. If you’re max level, you’re better off ignoring the dungeons and just doing the timewalking raid. It gives better gear, is faster, and gives another heroic track box as well. Unlike dungeons, it wasn’t hit with the nerf hammer. (Guess Blizzard hasn’t detected that piece of fun yet.)

This is how TW has always been. THe purpose has been for leveling alts and getting that box at the completion of the big quest. Gear from it has never been worth while. IT has been this way since day 1.

False. It has never dropped worse gear than world quests before today.

You have bad memory.

Ugh, why do they keep doing this?

TW in DF S4 dropped Adventurer 1/8 (ilvl 467) gear, just like Heroic dungeons did. This wasn’t great but it was fine. Why aren’t TWW TW drops at least Adventurer 1/8 (ilvl 567)?

doing 5 just for the weekly.

No, but clearly you do. In every past expansion, I’d do timewalking on a character that was a fresh cap that week for starting gear for higher difficulty stuff…because it was easy and gave something. Not something great (LFR was always better), but SOMETHING. Prior to late DF, it was good enough that I’d even save some of the tokens for the freshly leveled character.

Now, it’s so bad that it’s not even worth setting foot in a timewalking dungeon at max level.

Even for the weekly quest, it’s not worth it: do the raid instead, it’s faster and has a chance at more loot you can actually use.

doesn’t it always drop normal dungeon ilvl gear? that is normal ilvl gear. You get your reward doing the quest.

No, it has never dropped gear that is worse than Explorer 1 like it does now. In DF, it dropped Adventurer 1 gear (which is roughly equivalent to Explorer 5 gear but on a better track).

Are you talking about gear drops from the Timewalking dungeon run (which should be like Normal Dungeons which is 554 NOT upgradeable) or are you talking the chest for doing 5 of them (which should be a Normal raid piece)?

I agree that at that there’s a problem because you can just do Normal (or Timewalking) and be able to qualify for Heroic Dungeons since they increased both the item-level of Heroics and also the entry-level requirement without updating Normal ilvl drops! Now there’s a gap to get from Normal to Heroic if you only want to run dungeons.

I’m not sure Timewalking should drop 480 unless Timewalking in DF also dropped same as Heroic Dungeons ilvl (don’ think it did, Timewlaking was only good for the chest after doing 5 of them).
